This is an independent review of Michael Brown's Affiliate Marketing Power Series volume one. The first in a series of ebooks and downloads that take an individual from starting out with the vision of being an affiliate marketer through the actual step by step process of being successful in marketing affiliate products.

After a quick read through of AMP volume 1, I was very anxious to dive right into the nuts and bolts of becoming an affiliate marketer by following the instructions laid out in this first volume in the series.

The actual ebook is comprised of 64 pages and covers 8 different steps of affiliate marketing plus a putting it all together section. My initial read through gave me the overall view of the book which I was pretty impressed with. It runs through the creation and setup of an affiliate program for the individual that is very much down to the bare basics.

The first 7 or so pages give some of Michael's background plus an overview of what exactly an affiliate program is. Right after that he dives right in to the steps one must take to be successful in affiliate marketing, starting with step 1 on how to select an affiliate product. Here he gives what not to look for and plenty of great ideas to come up with a good product.

Step 2 is covering the things necessay to research your product starting with finding out if the product you've selected has an affiliate program associated with it, how to join the affiliate program, a handy table with parameters given on what to look for in an affiliate program and alternative methods of finding affiliate products.

Step 3 is one of the longer steps in the book and rightly so because of it's importance. This is where Michael takes you through keyword research, one of the most important steps involved in affiliate marketing. The way that the author goes in extreme detail with lots of screen shots tells me that he has geared this instructional ebook towards people at all experience levels. The newbie that needs explicit instructions along with great tips that even the most experienced affiliate marketer can gain from.

In step 4 Michael walks you through the process of registering a domain name which is, like I said previously, great for the begining marketer. By making this very instructional book something that people at all levels can benefit from is an absolute asset. Sometimes the highly successful marketers forget where they were at the beginning of their carreers when teaching beginners and that has not happened with Michael's series.

Step 5 covers the actual site building and basic optimization. He refers you to one of the included courses by Kevin Riley for the actual site building instructions which give detailed instructions for building your first site. Michael also gives instructions here on the use of your primary keywords in the title and text of your new site along with anchor text in the links.

Step 6 moves into your site layout and adding products but not before doing a short re-cap of the first 5 steps and a reminder to not lose your focus. In this step he shows how to add affiliate products with your affiliate links in them and putting pictures and purchase links on your various pages. This is where it may get a little complex so he has included many screenshots to show exactly what is required to do it right along with examples of some of his sites.

Step 7 is building traffic to your site. This section provides the beginning affiliate marketer several free and low-cost ways to drive traffic to their affiliate sites the correct way and continually stay focused on the ultimate target of earning money from the sales from the site.

Step 8 goes into detail the benefits of building an email list. He states that this step is optional and also gives the ebook "Email List Money" which is included within the resources in the download of Affiliate Marketing Power Series Vol. 1.

He has included in the back of the book a really nice flow chart for you to get a better idea of the traffic flow process. Sometimes having a visual interpretation helps to see overall how it works.

In winding up series one, the author delves into how to go about getting a pay increase from the company that you are affiliated with after you are making a good volume of sales of their products.

In his final words of wisdom, Michael explains the importance of goal setting and achieving those goals and reiterates the power of staying focused.

A few more words about this first volume in the Affiliate Marketing Power Series. It occurs to me that Michael, although fairly young in age, is very knowledgable in affiliate marketing and through his own experience in this field through trial and error has gained an enormous amount of knowledge on the subject.

I had the distinct impression that he isn't holding anything back in sharing this knowledge with you the reader. He realizes that you won't be competeing with him because the market for affiliate products is immense. He has also included in the downloads four great ebooks for additional information to help get the novice as well as the experienced marketer off to a great start in a very lucrative business. This reviewer gives the AMP Volume One Series a five star rating and my strongest recommendation.
