Linkshare announces weekly payment plan

The LinkShare affiliate network has just announced a weekly payment plan. This is great news for both affiliates and for LinkShare.

You see, smart affiliate networks realize that for Savvy PPC affiliates to do volume they need to shorten their pay cycles. Pretty much any affiliate network that doesn’t start to shorten their affiliate pay cycles is going to be left in the dust by the ones that do.

When you’re looking at affiliate networks you should look at how often they pay. Even if they hold a reserve like ClickBank it’s better to get paid bi-monthly than net 15 (the 15th day after the previous month’s earnings).

I buy a ton of advertising as do many of my friends. And I can tell you from experience that one thing you need to get in writing or email up front from a network is how much volume you need to do to get to shorter pay cycles.

I’ve run into another problem recently around this. I Do alot of activity on many different networks, but on some of them the volume isn’t enough to qualify for shorter paycycles.

So I’ve basically told the networks with net 15 cycles or worse to grow up and join the 20th century. When you make your living fulltime from affiliate marketing as I do, you can’t afford to deal with networks that are lost in the past.

The ice cream truck comes every day

I just put up an article at EzineArticles called "The ice cream truck comes every day" that discusses mindset about income opportunities and the myth that "opportunity only knocks once".

You can read it here: The Ice Cream Truck Comes Every Day.

Success University Question

Q:   I have gotten many emails from Mark Hodges regarding Success University.  What do you think of that.  It initially cost $50. a month after the 14 day trial, but what can you tell me about this one.

A: I tested it out and the training seemed good, but I couldn’t keep up with it.
Also, I didn’t research the commission structure which would be important.

I’d definitely want to know who their Attorney is and whether he specializes
in Network Marketing. One of the more respected ones is Gerald Nehra at
http://www.mlmatty.com

The other downside was that at the time I tested it it seemed like they
tried to do a lot of upselling for additional products. That may have
changed now and for some people that’s not a problem – but I’m not
crazy about it.

Sorry I can’t give you more information right now.
