What the h*** am I talking about?

This morning I received the following email from a subscriber to the WorkAtHomeTruth newsletter:

"What the hell are you babbling on about!!!!!!!"

I’ve been rereading the email to see if I truly was "babbling". This is what I sent:

====================================================

I had to make a tough choice recently about whether or not to send
this email.

There’s a message that’s going to be going out all over the internet
today about a new docucment (free) put out by a man named Rich
Schefren who probably only the more serious business people would
know.

I honestly struggled with whether or not this was something you
really needed to see, because I know most of the people who I’ve
talked to at WorkAtHomeTruth are fairly new to business.

Also, I just hate, hate, hate, doing something *everyone else*
is doing. Maybe that’s from my creative side of having started
out as a Jazz Pianist in my younger years.

You may wonder why I would agonize so much over sending out
something that’s free, even something as profound as what Rich
has put together this time (I have a friend I helped out early on
who now works directly with Rich so I know a bit more about this
than some of the other people you might hear from).

The reason is that even this is a 70+ page document full of
incredibly valuable information I also know that once you get a
taste of what Rich Schefren is all about you may be tempted to
buy things from him later on…and if there’s one thing I’m
exceedingly cautious about here it’s watching how you spend
your money – which is why I put up stuff like the refund
instructions up at WorkAtHomeTruth.

Anyhow, as I’m writing this I’m realizing that the last
paragraph I wrote could offend some people, since we’re all
adults and we all know how to make our own decisions, so
I think I’ll just let you decide for yourself on this one.

You can take a look at what Rich has to offer here:

http://www.workathometruth.com/gorsatt.php

(btw, that link above may not work by the time you read this).

If you’re already running a business, then yes you probably should
look at it. If you’re thinking about running one I’m not sure.
The one reason you would want to is so that you don’t get stymied
by a lot of incorrect information that is floating around these
days.

Anyhow, my 3-year old is acting silly trying to get my attention
so I’m going to close up for now.
=====================================================

I guess I did kind of put together a lot of different thoughts, but I’m not sure if it’s really fair to call it "babbling".

Ah well, better quit while I’m ahead before someone makes the "babble" call again! ;-)

Victim of scam goes to jail

Q: My daughter got caught up in a scam.  They sent her a money gram told her to cash it and keep 10%.  She was arrested for trying to do so and is now in jail.  Is there anything I can do to help her.

A: There’s a well-known case like this you can read about here:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/08/30/BUGTGKRHSF1.DTL

You really need to get an attorney involved. If you’re low-income, you should be able to find a public defender. For example In Arizona the list would be here:

Arizona Public Defenders

Good luck.

Is HydraMedia listening?

HydraMedia recently did a survey of their affiliates asking them what they liked and didn’t like about HydraMedia in order to improve their relationship with their affiliates. I won’t go into exact numbers, but here is the funniest thing that came out of the whole thing:

Hydra sends an email out later saying:

"Most of you have always called us "Hydra", so we’ve decided to join you. We have shortened our name to just plain Hydra. You’ll notice a shorter logo, and that’s about it."

Now I’m sure that is the top thing an affiliate is concerned about – the name of the network. I mean, they wouldn’t care about payouts, shorter payment cycles, how well the backend is organized, campaign descriptions. No. Obviously the BIGGEST thing on an affiliates mind is the NAME of the network they are working with.

Yes, the name. Now that HydraMedia has changed their name to  Hydra I feel "listened to". I feel respected. I feel that they really value me as an affiliate.

Thank you HydraMedia – I mean "Hydra". Now I can sleep well at  night
