Man, finding a work at home job is HARD…

Q:

Paul,

I have applied and applied for work at home employment on your website to no avail.  I have experience in lots of areas, what is the problem?  Is there just not enough employment for people who want to work at home?  - Judy

A:

Judy,

I see it's been 10 days since we first talked. This is the problem I have with most people.

Finding a telecommuting job is no easier than finding a regular job which takes considerable time and effort.

I get several people who find telecommuting positions - but for everyone that finds one there are probably dozens more that are still looking.

I have two goals at this site:

  1. Give people REALISTIC expectations about finding  work at home jobs or running home businesses.
  2. Point them to the best free resources and paid resources for doing so.

That's why we like what Sylvie Fortin writes here:

http://www.workaholics4hire.com/jobseekers.htm

And why we recently did a full review of her book here:

http://www.workathometruth.com/InYourPJs-review.php

Debra, who's a full-time telecommuter and who recently became our Telecommuting product reviewer did the review.

Does that make sense?

I'm sorry I can't be one of those sites that promise you that you can make $1000/day doing simple data entry work at home - but I CAN'T - because it's NOT true.

Hope that helps.

Paul
