Beginners affiliate marketing system

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about basic affiliate marketing techniques for the novice affiliate marketer. I think sometimes people start learning an affiliate marketing system but get overwhelmed by too much information.

And then they give up.

So I spent about a week going through literally hundreds of affiliate marketing and online business courses that I own to find one that met the following criteria:

  1. The system would not require a website. For some people this is a huge stumbling block, so I searched for basic affiliate marketing strategies that do not require a website – (note this one sometimes requires a VERY BASIC free website/blog with a domain, which is covered in the product – please check Michael Brown’s comments in the comments section below if this concerns you).
  2. Ideally the beginners affiliate marketing system would focus on only one or two affiliate marketing techniques that were repeatable and effective in driving sales and leads.
  3. It had to be fairly easy, but still effective. I mean there are plenty of easy affiliate marketing techniques that don’t work. Obviously, you don’t want THOSE. LOL.
  4. I wanted to find a basic affiliate marketing system for you that only requires one or two hours a week. Certainly after seeing results, you might put more time into it. But it’s been my experience that people are relunctant to really work at a system until they are seeing some real results.
  5. The system had to be designed for a novice affiliate marketing person. In other words, it had to be right for someone who knows nothing about marketing online.
  6. The system had to cover affiliate marketing techniques that experienced online marketers use. Too many affiliate marketing systems aimed at newbies cover techniques that professional affiliate marketers really don’t use. In other words, I want you to master something that you can use for the long-term in your business.
  7. The system had to be designed in such a way to allow you to generate ongoing profits from work you do once.
  8. The affiliate marketing system had to be such that you could use it to promote just about any type of product or service.

Important update (I’ve pulled these comments from Michael Brown – the creator of this product from the comments section):

“You do not need a website… period.

But, some of the places require that you have a domain. A very easy workaround for this is to just buy a domain for $10 a YEAR. If you’re unsure what a domain is it’s simply a URL like http://www.workathometruth.com

OR… Simply go to http://www.blogger.com and make a free blogger account and make a domain from there both which are explained in Mega Classified Millions and on the training area of Mega Classified Millions that features 4 videos to help get your campaigns kick started.”

After scouring my hard drive and going around my office looking at tons of huge business courses I paid some serious cash for (don’t worry this course literally costs just about 265 times LESS than the price of the most expensive training I’ve bought to date – training that cost me $7,970.00 if you care to know)…and AFTER applying the above criteria to all the possible choices, click here to see the surprising simple beginners affiliate marketing system I found for you.

Nothing down here but us wordpress tags. :-)

    Hi there,
I still have no news whether I could download the 4 videos from the Megamillions site or not. I wish to download them so I can watch them offline. Please help.
    Thank you again.
    Felix.

  2. Felix,

As mentioned in one of my previous posts my help desk won’t be in until 10 AM EST. After that point you should receive something shortly.

Please wait on the help desk. I don’t want to clog Work At Home Truth up with support issues as this is not a support forum. Someone will help you shortly.

    Michael,
So sorry again for this. As I said before, I am new to all these. Will slow here and get a better picture before I do anything rash once more. Thanks for bearing with me.
    Felix.

  4. Leonard Salladay says:

Your order form for your ebook “Mega Classified Millions” was about to be completed when, lo and behold, I noticed that the form indicated a charge of $49.94 when it was previously stated that the price would be $29.97 for that information.

How come? Please reply ASAP Thank you!!!!!

  5. No it definitely should NOT be $49.94.

    Let me check with Michael.

  6. Leonard,

Thanks for your inquiry. That price would be because you ordered the additional e-book 7 day info product greatness, with it. You had an option during your order to add the product and you must have added it.

If you didn’t want it simply contact our help desk at http://www.michaelbrownsupport.com

…and we’ll get that adjusted for you.

Thanks Paul for pointing this out.

HI PAUL:I sent you a e-mail through workathome.this is not about the above at this time.since there is another KEN,i’ll try KT.this is in regards to the link you set up for spyzooka.
when you go in the name or url shows blue penguin, something like that.there’s many out there claiming to fix viruses & errors on your pc and only make it worse which cost hundreds of dollars to get fixed so you lose twice.can you tell me who this spyzooka is accredited by? have you used their soft ware?
since they show micrsoft on their site do i have to email microsoft and ask if they are affiliated with spyzooka.
    let me know ok
    thank you KT

I have bought the Megamillions and gone through it. I followed the instructions but I find it not so accurate. The part which says I do not need a website and telling me to register at ShareAsale. They need me to have a website which should be up and running in order to approve my application.
I have since then purchased a domain and yet they say no. I tried 3 times to get the megamillions supportteam for help but never received any reply for the tickets I submitted. Anyway, this taught me not to be too trusting online from now on.

  9. Ken, I switched to a Mac since using SpyZooka but I’m stunned that you’d have those kind of problems with it.

Are you saying you didn’t get any help from their support?

  10. Felix, I don’t know why you’re having a problem with Tech Support. I’ll ask Michael.

As to your complaint about Share-a-Sale – that was covered NUMEROUS times both in the original write-up here, IN THE course itself AND in the discussion here by Michael himself.

The support issue though needs to be addressed.

Did you by any chance notice that I never CENSOR people’s complaints on this blog? Most people who try to “hide” something would just not even publish the questions and complaints.

I’m glad you learned a “valuable lesson” about not trusting anyone online.

Go tell that to the thousands of people I helped recover money at NO CHARGE and helped file complaints with the FTC, IC3, AGs, etc. in this discussion:

    http://www.workathometruth.com/blog/2008/11/19/google-money-tree-complaints/

Good luck in your future endeavors.

  11. Felix,

The instructions are accurate. We’ve sold thousands of copies. We even have videos that show you how to go through it if you’re stuck. You must have missed video #4 where we show you exactly how to do this. In any event – this is not a support forum.

If you need support you need to send us a ticket at http://www.michaelbrownsupport.com if you have not gotten a response back it means we never got your support ticket. As we are quite thorough on support and make our support to our clients and customers #1. Please submit your ticket with my support desk and we’ll help you get through your issue.

    Thank you,

  12. Mitchell Mahaffey says:

I tried out Niche Blitzering, sorry for the misspelling. I also tried profit cash. I really liked the format of the first one but it is very involved and what they dont tell you is that you will have to find an article writer to be successful with this system if you are new.
Michael is great and the videos are great but it was just too involved for me. The refund took one day so they are fantastic at customer service as well.
Profit cash is o.k but the tools for 27 a month do nothing to help. The lauch tool is outdated and I was not able to find any placement targeting ads and I looked for 24 hours.
I have tried to get a refund through them but with no response. Thanks Paul for the instructions as I will use that to get my money back.
Now on to my question. I know that nothing is guaranteed but why does it seem like everytime you buy one of these products, everyone has saturated the market with the techniques and it makes it difficult to work? I will try your advice but as you can see this whole process is very frustrating for me.
    Thanks for listening.
    Mitchell

  13. True on Niche Blitzkrieg that you will need to write articles or eventually hire an article writer. I suggest people write the articles themselves first until they are generating enough profits to reinvest into an article writer.

If you do the research per the Niche Blitzkrieg instructions you shouldn’t have a problem with saturated markets.

Mitchell, do you mean ProjectQuickCash? Sounds like I need to revisit that.

Your last question raises an interesting point.

Principles taught in Niche Blitzkrieg should never become outdated, because they are based on long-term principles. There will ALWAYS be underserved markets and because there literally billions of different keyword variations (if not more) there should theoretically always be “low-hanging fruit” to go after.

Something like ProjectQuickCash is a bit different. The fundamental principles of riding trends or piggybacking on traffic, etc. are timeless, BUT if you have a resource that is only provided a limited number of ways to use that principle, then I can see running into problems.

I’m not saying to go out and buy the following product, but considering what your saying something like http://findhotmarkets.com/ might be a good replacement for ProjectQuickCash.com. – I bought FindHotMarkets a while back, but never had the time to fully review it. For one thing the owner of the FindHotMarkets product used to continuously update with new techniques.

  14. ken says:

thank you for your reply paul regarding spyzooka. i do not believe i said i was having a problem with them.if it sounded that way then that’s wrong.spyzooka sent back a price for their services.something like $29 plus change, then through their offer per their ad page an additional discount for the regular spyzooka.so let me correct any misunderstandings,i wanted to verify through you or microsoft that they can perform as they state regarding viruses, errors, etc.i read a indebth report on scambusters.org regarding all these so called services (we can fix your problems)as soon as you open their link from these scam artist they can take all your private info and you’ll download many viruses.they state,do not even open that email offer because when you do they can not only steal your info but reck your system as well then they always state you have viruses, try and scare you to pay them that you need them now.here is the legit security sites that scambusters.org list.symantec,mcafee,trend,avg,kaspersky.
oh i have a much older system then yours.windows 98.my system is so slow with what i can afford dsl,it’s so slow i can walk my message to you before my system can send it.LOL oh just to mention this. michael brown sounds like one of the good guys i don’t know if i’ll try his mega system as yet i’m still following comments regarding peoples views of his systems.i do not think people are actually following his systems directions michael has to keep asking the same people to contact him through his system and not turn your site into their trouble shooting for his system.he mentions it over and over.seems clear to me!don’t you think so paul.

  15. Ah OK. Yes, I understand what you’re saying now about SpyZooka.

SpyZooka is definitely NOT one of those types of companies, however, I would make sure that you mention the age of your machine to make sure that isn’t an issue.

By the way SpywareWarrior “delisted” SpyZooka as rogue/suspect software in 2005 here:
    http://www.spywarewarrior.com/de-listed.htm#spyzooka_note

BUT as far as i can tell SpywareWarrior actually made a MISTAKE in listing SpyZooka in the first place and probably used the word “delisted” to cover their butts liability-wise.

  16. Mitchell Mahaffey says:

Thank you so much for the reply. I will go to that website. Project Quick Cash is o.k. but if you buy the automation tools you get alot of errors and the launch tool is outdated. They have products that were release in July and August and there is nothing about September.
Anyways, I really appreciate the response and I think from previous posts I will try Mega Millions. I have almost given up trying to make money online but I ll try this one and give it a shot. Michael seems like a nice guy that wants people to succeed.
    Have a great day

  17. Mitchell Mahaffey says:

One more thing, Project Quick Cash seems like a great idea but it is very hard to make money. I forgot to mention that he gives you links of 3 more ebooks to buy just to understand the material. This is not stated on the sale page.
Just thought I would give you a heads up so any more reviews about this product are up to date.
    Thanks Again

  18. ken says:

on spyzooka they list windows 95/98 so that would be my system.i read the link you list for spywarrior. thank you.let me ask you this, have you heard of error fix? i have not signed up with them as yet but do have the first part of their system on my computer.it comes up every day moves through all files and such and says i have 107 errors from everything like temp files and more.it moves through my system in a blink of an eye.but you have to register to get the complete version.now would you know or ask this spywarrior.

  19. I dont know ErrorFix. SpywareWarrior is no longer active, though. :-(

Mitchell, thanks for the heads up. That’s MUCH different than when I last reviewed it.

  20. ken says:

HI PAUL:it’s ken again and i just want to make sure i’m useing your blog here properly.i’m not trying to turn it into an IT trouble shooting site and i have never blogged or join forums before.is there things i should know before i ask a question?

  21. Ken, let’s continue the discussion about SpyZooka over here:

    http://www.workathometruth.com/blog/2009/09/11/questions-about-spyzooka/

I just set that up. I think it will be less confusing that way.

  22. KEN says:

HI PAUL.I believe you said you would be re-testing mega classified. love to see your results. regarding jean k’s comment about createing your own ad.i know she comes back to reply to a vivian.but i would like to know is, you have to create your own ad? what if that is not one of your true talents? there are actaul pro’s out there that create ad’s
and their so bad that the company would of been better off just showing the product alone.for a newbie just starting would that get a person frustrated and possibly turned off?
and choosing the best adwords? am i misunderstanding something here? doesn’t michael help in that dept or do you have to hit or miss on your own.

  23. The ads you need to put up are pretty basic and often most of them are provided to you by the company who’s product you’re promoting.

  24. KEN says:

HI PAUL:ken here once again. hopefully some one passed this on to jean k that the companies will provide the ad’s that should really make the process much easier.what about those or the one who had difficulty getting in because they did not have a web-site and even with a domain name, did not help.
or is michael saying they just went about it wrong. i know to everything, there are stumbleing blocks but as a newbie for people a stumble block which is minor to the seasoned is a mountain to them.after you retest this mega i believe i’ll do it any way just to truly see for once can promises really be kept. money back is easy! but to truly bring success to those that need it. that’s the proof in the pudding. don’t you agree

  25. Ken,

I would say that if you think someone or anything will “bring you success” then you probably shouldn’t try anything no matter how promising it is.

I started paying my own way in life from the age 13 on – I paid for all my clothing, instruments I wanted to buy and I paid ALL of my way through college.

    Nobody “brought me success”.

I would say this whole area might not be right for you.

Sorry to be so blunt, but that’s the way I call things.

  26. Mitchell Mahaffey says:

    Mega Classified Millions Review
I first bought the Niche Blitz program but it was too involved and a little confusing. A few days ago I bought the MCM program and I think it is a good program but I am getting realy frustrated at the way these are coming across us newbies.
If you have the program go find Michaels ad’s at the place he tells you to set up your classifieds. He has custom websites for most everything. You do get a domain and website builder but you have to buy the 10 parts for 6 dollars each. I have learned that with this program it is easy but without a website it is very hard to generate traffic. I have only 15 hits in 6 days. He has 1800 in 6 days with his webkinz website. This is really starting to make me so frustrated because there is always a catch to making money online and being successful.
    Thank You

  27. Thanks Mitchell

    That’s good feedback.

I’ve tried to get across to people that they need to think in terms of increasing their winners.

That’s what I’ve usually seen separating people who are successful at anything from the ones who aren’t.

Let’s say you assume a 30% success rate – meaning in this case that you’ll make some sort of profit. In the beginning your success will obviously be lower because you are still learning the ropes.

The person who puts up 300 ads and does the work to rank has a MUCH bigger advantage than the person who puts up 30 ads – NOT only because they have more ads up, but because they have much more EXPERIENCE and knowledge from repeatedly doing the process.

I don’t know how many ads you’ve put up, so I can’t make that call about you.

I think for most people the process is too scary because they don’t KNOW if they will be successful, so they feel there is a big RISK to putting in the time.

That’s one of the reasons scams will always outsell systems that require WORK – because TIME is such a valuable commodity these days and people want to guarantee them that they won’t be wasting their time.

Unfortunately the honest answer there is NOBODY can really tell you that, because there are so many factors OUTSIDE of the system that are involved – personality traits, risk-tolerance, etc.

I am curious about one other thing you mentioned though. Why do you have to buy a website builder? You shouldn’t have to.

  28. Chris Wilder says:

    Paul,

I really (really!) appreciate having found your website after ALMOST getting scammed by a work@home website last week. I should have done my due diligence and checked them out on the Internet first. Now I check EVERYTHING out and your website is the best.

I checked out your Top 10 recommended sites, sorted through them, and have narrowed it down to one of Michael Brown products. It got down to Mega Classified Millions (MCM) when I also found AMR (Affiliate Money Revolution). I watched some of the free videos and checked out the upgrade @ $77; the forum looks like a valuable tool.

Being a newbie, would you recommend going with MCM or is AMR complete enough to just jump in there from the get go?

    Thanks.

    Chris

  29. Chris,

Paul alerted me to this question – so I wanted to personally come answer it. If you are brand new to online marketing or making money online both are going to be helpful. However, niche blitzkrieg and amr going into more detail. This makes these programs very useful.

I am not saying that MCM wouldn’t work in fact we’ve had members make $250 or more in the first month with MCM with very little work. I tell people who ask me this question to always go for AMR or Niche Blitzkrieg first and then later on get into MCM. However, either way you do it can work and we’ve had success with brand new people in both products.

If you need any further help contact our support at http://www.michaelbrownsupport.com and I’ll get someone to give you some more details.

    Thanks,
    Michael Brown

  30. Mitchell,

    I understand your frustration… but….
I disagree with what you say completely. There is no catch to make money online. I specifically show you how to get traffic to your ads. If you’re not doing the suggested of course you’re not going to get much traffic to your ads.

Make sure you’re following the course properly. If you’d like us to take a look at one of your ads we’d be happy to. Send any support to http://www.michaelbrownsupport.com and we’ll have someone help check one of your ads out to see if we can help offer advice.

  31. Mitchell Mahaffey says:

Michael, I apologize if any of the comments I made were offensive. I think you have alot of great knowledge and are a very nice person to share your experience to help people make money.
I was just saying that I see you have your own websites for alot of the products to work with MCM. I was just frustrated because that e book you get domain builder toolkit, it makes you pay 6 dollars for each part of the book. The ads are easy and work fine. It just seems that with people not spending money and me having to try to get traffic directed to my ads, that makes it frustrating. I am doing everthing you have said but I am only getting 8 hits a day. I did contact support and they said my ads look fine. Your webkinz stuff you did has tons of hits and you have your own dedicated website. I just wish I could do the same but the this is all new to me and very confusing at times.
    Thanks again for the response.

  32. KEN says:

HI PAUL:question, since it’s all about marketing your products or someone elses products.i seen that tweeter has vamped up their system and it’s free to tweet, tweet, tweet.so could that be a avenue to market goods?
    ken

  33. Ken,

There appear to be plenty of people and companies who make Twitter work for them in the way you describe. I’ve never really put much into it myself, so I’m not a very good resource for telling you how to do it.

I’ve typically used web 2.0 sites to help with organic sites rank. Actually they can be used to help rank the ads as well, which I actually haven’t done.

I was going to post a specific Twitter product, but I don’t know it first hand so I’m hesitant to do that.

  34. Mitchell,

Not offended at all. We want to be able to help you, that’s all. I am just telling you flat out – the system works. I just retested by posting an add on September 18th and since putting the ad on and adding a few backlinks to it (as suggested in the manual) the ad was in the top 10 on google and already has 444 hits and has accounted for an increase in sales.

The webkinz ad does have a dedicated website but you honestly don’t need a dedicated website – I just have one. If you want to learn to build a profitable website you need something like Niche Blitzkrieg.

You’re referring to Kevin’s book that is included with the course. You actually do not need those add on modules that Kevin has. Part of allowing me to use his product for free with the course was I had to allow him to include those links… so it’s a great bonus for my Mega customers for free. But, you only need that main book no need to purchase any separate courses.

Remember to write a few articles pointing to your ad to help boost your ads up. In any event let’s take the rest of the conversation into the help desk. http://www.michaelbrownsupport.com as I appreciate Paul letting us trouble shoot here but really I want to make sure we give you the best help possible.

  35. Bill L. says:

I’m very interested in starting a part time internet business, and I’ve been doing a lot of research on which program to try. After reading several reviews and going to the work at home truth website, Mega Classified Millions looks like a good honest program to try. My one question though is this. How do you recieve money buy using Mega Classified Millions. I’m sure it’s based upon commission, but who pays your commission, and how do you receive payment.

  36. Bill,

You are paid by either the merchant themselves or quite frequently you are paid by a 3rd-party affiliate network which acts as an intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants that the affiliate network works with.

  37. KEN says:

JUST a thought here:i wanted to join one of the systems or programs you reviewed wealthy affiliate.how ever just as i was excited to join.my questions to support for them now say there are system reqirements for it to work.such as straight connection and not dail up connection and you need firefox browser. well what if all you have to work with is windows 98 and internet explorer, and a dail up service.if it’s not going to work they should just come out and say so whats better then that.it should be stated on the front page of their website that their are system requirements.there are no refunds they state that plainly. so what if i joined and was’nt told this? i have asked every question and in every combination to weathy affiliate’s support before i join will this work or not.all i get is you may have problems. not saying what or anything.any one want to field this one and please no bashing because i know there’s countless people still useing windows 98 because they can’t afford to just junk what they have.

  38. KEN says:

HI PAUL: question are there system requirements for any of
MICHAEL BROWN’S PROGRAMS? and would my old system handle it.
just to mention this but everyone raves about MR BROWN’S
niche blitkrieg on google. and he must be good if he didn’t
get bashed on ripoff.com and thats virtually impossible.
and on scambusters.org zero complaints and i trust them as millions do.I am not the type to give up back up or back down.
i’ll make something work because i remember what got me to this point.

  39. Ken,

I would recommend you start with something cheaper to earn the funds to upgrade.

There’s plenty you can do with straight dialup and and old machine.

Article Marketing and Systems like Mega come immediately to mind.

The trickiest part for you will likely being finding good keyword research tools that work well on your machine, although there are some online ones you could start with – the particular one I’m thinking of is $14/month – but i’m also asking John Mann who created Keyword Commando if that will run on Windows 98.

  40. KEN says:

OK since this ia about marketing. i’m in the market for a computer with software 2000 or above. would anyone that may have a extra computer like to work out some kind of deal?
help out a future marketer. ken

  41. KEN says:

paul; I WENT ON TO JOHN MANN’S SITE HIS COMMANDO SOFT WARE
HE STATES AT THE END OF THE SITE. SOFTWARE ONLY WORKS WITH
WINDOWS XP OR VISTA. UNLESS YOU SEEN SOMETHING ELSE
    KEN

  42. KEN says:

understood about starting with a cheaper program to earn the funds for a updated system.of course your right on that one
so i take it that MICHAEL BROWN’S systems need higher then windows 98? what would be needed? like windows xp,windows 2000
windows vista? i don’t want to invest in a computer until
i know what works.i’m sure brand new computer and the latest software would work. but what can i get by on. ken

  43. Hi Robert & Crystal,

You have already seen Michael’s answer to a similar question you posted on a different thread, but just in case you didn’t, here it is:

“Paul pointed this post out to me. I am the creator of both Mega and Niche Blitzkrieg. I will make a raw suggestion here. I would honestly start with Niche Blitzkrieg if you’re brand new and have had no prior experience.

Can you make money from Mega as a newer person to it? Yes, and we have several come in who are brand new that start making money. But, Niche Blitzkrieg covers more of the detailed fundamentals like explaining what backlinks are and how websites rank etc.

Mega does as well but not in the extent shown in NBK. Mega is more of a “Do it exactly like this” with less details course. Which can make it easier but in turn you may not fully understand exactly why you’re getting the results you’re getting.

People seem to have more success when they start with NBK and later on get into Mega. But, both will work and work well… this is just simply my opinion.

I hope this helps you and we look forward to working with you.”

  44. Charlie says:

I’ve been reading this whole webpage and I really like how Paul takes care and maintains his website. Great job mate :)

I am really interested in the AMR. I signed up for 15$ for therichkids.com which has some basic (too basic) information on affiliate marketting, seems like I would do better with that AMR. I tried other stuff but it wasn’t for me.

I like the thought of video training. Pause and execute, play over… Get the things down packed, as I am a visual learner. Reading for ever just seems like a waste of time and I think this is what drives a lot of people away from the so-called, work at home programs.

I always say “You get what you pay for”; don’t be shocked if you don’t get anything out of something that costed you nothing.

What kind of money can I expect for fork out after I buy your system? Some say “nothing” you never have to spend another dime; but that is just half a sentence. Should end by “if you want to progress anywhere it will cost you thousands and thousands before you see a dime of it back”.

Really scary when you pay so much for something that doesn’t deliver at all and when you’re unsatisfied, you don’t get any of it back.

I realize that to grow a business you have to put money into it. However, I’m just fed up with empty promises and shady services and programs that always want more money and “gang up” together so you HAVE to buy all their gimicks to make something work.

I’ll say, so far, I like what I’m seeing… However, in a virual world, who do you trust…

    Have a pleasant day :)

  45. Charlie says:

    Hey Paul!

Well, you’re not the creator of AMR but I am very pumped about it. It’s nice to see some people with some dignity left. I think it’s great that you monitor your website and help people out. I’ve been scammed pretty good before ($2000) worth and don’t want to repeat the same mistakes.

I’m ok with computers but definitely not savvy… Yeah, I can turn it on and off and fix minor problems, building a website, no way in hell I can do that.

I tried the whole selling on e-bay thing but ended up buying more than selling. I’ve lately grown a shine towards affiliate marketting because eventually, it can become “set it and forget it” without a lot of work.

I realize that the toughest/longest parts are at the beginning. However, I don’t want to be stuck in the same predicament I currently am in.

“To be sucessful, I need to set up business in the USA” Cost 750$ set up + 50$ per month for administration fees” This is just for legal rights to do business within the USA.
“To cut myself a ton of hours of work I have to purchase software called “auctiontouch.com”" Another 750$.

Customer support is rather lowsy and never gives straight answers, like I’m playing a guessing game or something; like I’m solving and ancient enigma. Well, I want concrete answers.

    IE:
If I ask “How can I increase traffic?”. I’d much rather hear “I suggest Google Adsence” rather than “Check the web for an advertising company”.

Well, I’m just going and rambling but my questions are:

1-)I got laid-off about a month ago and my funds are limited. If I go and purchase the full version of AMR, along with other than advertizing costs, what are other costs I should prepare/budget for? What arethe hidden fees that may not appear on the member’s area?

2-)Is there any kind of guarantee? Refund if not 100% satisfied? I’ve not seen any.

3-)What SPECIFIC computer skills do I need to be able to get the most ouf of that program? I have zero HTML/php knowledge and it all looks like chinese to me.

4-)How helpful is cutomer support? Is there a toll free like to speakto someone on the phone?

5-)Would you recomment something else? Which one isthe most effective and comprehensive program Michael has?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

    • @Charlie:
      Hi Charlie,

Yes, all comments have to be approved, otherwise the blog fills up with spam comments.

Let me go through you’re questions in order.
      1) The extra fees for AMR would be very similar to the ones I outline in This mini-review of Niche Blitzkrieg

One optional tool that would make keyword research faster is John Mann’s Niche Research Commando, that would be a one-time fee of $37. If you already have a similar keyword research tool, then you don’t need it.

      2) The Guarantee on AMR is 30 days, no questions asked.

      3) Michael shows you a way to build sites with WordPress in a way that’s much simpler than what you may be thinking.

Nowadays, most hosting companies include installation wizards to set up WordPress. There are also what are called “plugins” for WordPress and the ones you’d be using also have installation wizards.

There are very minor technical things you’ll have to learn – like how to register a domain name, how to “point” the domain to your host – all of which are explained in the course.

      4) Customer support is done through the forum and through a support ticket system. Michael and his business partner John actively support their products.

Just a tip here: the only internet marketing training courses I’ve seen that claim to offer phone support are the ones that use that as a gimmick to try to upsell you into some sort of expensive coaching program or convince you to buy worthless traffic packages. I once helped a woman (for free) recover close to $3,000 from one of those places.

I’ve paid as much as $795/month to be in a internet marketing membership which had some of the top traffic experts on the web in it – and there was no phone support. It was done through forums.

If you find a course that offers the kind of support you’re talking about, let me know as I’d be curious to find out how they manage it. In my 10 years of being in this field (part time and fulltime) I’ve never seen it.

      5) I really think Niche Blitzkrieg is the best place for people to start. But any program you find that includes the elements I discuss in Be Where the Money Is.

My commnt doesn’t show up, but I paste it back in (I always copy stuff I;m about to post because you never know) and submit, then it said I already submitted a similar comment, does a comment need to be approved by and admin first?

  47. Charlie says:

Thank you for all your answers and insight Paul :)

-I read the NB mini-review, seems rather cheap :)
-I’m sure I could afford the Keyword commando, that seems like a good cheap but worthy investment.
-Since all I have is PayPal, I will deposit some money in and likely order it. Maybe a week or so, since I am Canadian, processes take about 8 days excluding weekends.

Well since you edit this and you may quote me and since you read what goes on before, let me tell you about my experience with this BBB aproved scam…

-I signed up for dropshipdesign.com. I bought the full package for about 300$. You get a website made for you with tons of products that they have and a direct link to post on Ebay. Plus a few more perks.

-A few weeks after, I recieved a phone call from a fella. Told me he noticed that I bought the package and asked how I was doing with it etc. I told the guy that I didn’tget to play much with it but I’m trying to learn how to make it work.

-He asked me if I would be willing to spend some money on learning how to make it successful. I said sure! So then we talked for a while, set up a meeting overthe phone. He then made a big ass case about, to make money you have to spend money and businesses require a nice amount to start with, roughly 3500$ for this type of business.

-He asked me if I had the drive, the passion, wanted to leave my job etc and if I would pay that kind of money if they could send me on my way to becoming self employed, working at home. I said: Well I do have that much money but then I’d be living tight for a while. o he said he would consult with a supervisor to see what they could do for me.

-The day after, I got a call from the same fella. He said his supervisor had agreed to get me started for $1,750. So I was like WOW, good deal! Then they told me that I could pay them the rest later once I start making money. So sure enough, I made a payment of $1,750. They had told me that they would not let me go until I was 100% satisfied.

-It was all cool, I was assigned a coach, through Apply Knowledge Institute. Coaching sessions were roughly 15-20 minutes once a week for 5 weeks, then went from once a month, every month.

-The garage began with all the stuff they were trying to pond on me. First was totalk to a guy from Wyoming about legal structure. He wanted $750 to set up business in the USA, since I am Canadian. Since i fear cabotage laws (meaning, not being USA citizen, if I buy something in the USA and sell it within the USA, that’s illegal). I t hought it was great but I had already paid $1,750 to get hooked up with coaching. So I said I’d contact him once I have the funds.

-Next was getting set up with http://www.wholesalematch.com. A website that connects sellers with suppliers, dropshipper and wholesellers, even manufacturor. I was getting a 50% discount because I was through AppliKI. Still costed me $360 for one year. It is a GREAT tool, don’t get me wrong. It would be useful if I have a website, already a traffic flow or was an ebay power seller.

Last but not least, auctiontouch.com. A software that makes listing items on ebay, keeping track, suggest prices and the day/times the items were sold. Cost was $750, no deals. I didn’t have the money so I didn’t worry about it.

Then it started getting horrible at work, got in a streak of bad luck. My laptop’s HDD crashed and had to send it in for repairs. Then my phone fell in my coffee. Since it was getting hard to communicate with my boss and customers, it was harder for me to make deadlines and was lay-overed almost every day, sometimes two, so I wasn’t making it anymore. Then I hadto take a 3CPM cut. (CPM = Cents Per Mile… I’m a truck driver). Things kep going downhill and I have a really bad relationship with some of the bosses, so I ended up quitting.

Personally, I don’t even want to continue with that, all I’m basically learning is posting stuff on Ebay. Since I have no feedback, it makes it tough. Then the coach asked to post anyways but I was not making any progress. The DSD products we are all over priced to sell on ebay. No sence posting something that costs me $0.50 to post is I only make $2 with it. It just seemed all so far fetched to me not not a whole lot.

I still get calls every month from my “coach” for about 15 minutes and all I pretty much get asked is if I have any questions. To be honest, I was expecting more out of the coaching program. What my targetted $$ gain from each sold items, get some help in making some decisions, a more of a step-by-step program, would be nice.

I did learn some stuff tho, how to work with ebay, where to look at, what tools within ebay are useful, but I pretty much gave up on ebay. I’m not a very organized guy and the program just seems to be rather demanding. They make it look so easy, but, it’s not really for me. Spending hours posting on ebay, do all the research associated with it for what, $5 an item? It MAY work for some, but I’m looking more at something that I can eventually “set it and forget it”.

Besides, I am much better with words. All items I posted on ebay had LOST of page views. My selection of keywords was excellent, according to the coach. Prices weren’t all that even though, after all deductions and fees, I was making a mere $5. For me to quit my job, at that price, I would have to post 40 items a day.

Feel free to broadcast on your website, I don’t mind sharing my experiences; then maybe someone out there is looking at it and may say: “That’s not for me either” or “Exactly what I was looking for”.

Seems to me like everything is rather basic and well explained in AMR. I signed up for the free trial and learned more reading the 1st PDA files than I already knew.

    Thanks,
    Charlie

    • @Charlie: Charlie, sorry to hear about your experience there. I immediately recognized some of the companies once you posted them. Some of the others I think might be the new versions of old companies.

I assume you’ve already seen the BBB report on WholeSaleMatch here

There’s MUCH more I could go into as they appear to be associated with Tafiti Consulting. If you haven’t searched on Tafiti Consulting, you might want to. I think you’ll find a lot of interesting information.

Does NBK teach ways to get a high amount of traffic to your website? I mean, anyone can build a really nice site in a popular or hot niche but if no one goes there, it’s not much better. Traffic = Money; no trafic = you’re going out of business. I am looking into buying NBK next week once my paypal money deposit goes through from my bank account; however it’s not much use if the system doesn’t teach traffic techniques.

  49. Charlie says:

Excellent, I can’t wait to work with the NBK team :)

  50. Charlie says:

    Hey Paul!

This is a reply from your post from March 26 (to Roger). It seems like I would work out better with AMR, as you describe it as a more thorough system using all videos. I have watched the free material twice now, it sure seems rather easy as hell for me as I have half decent computer skills, it did sink into my brain rather easily.

I also think using an actual website rather than a simple blog with a domain to be more profitable and more customer friendly. However, it maybe be a lot easier for someone with ZERO computer knowledge and ZERO affiliate marketing experience.

Couple questions. Do any of those systems (NBK & AMR) play around with Google Adsence & Adwords? I am reading a lot about it lately and I have grown an understanding of how those programs work and how they both can be beneficial to affiliates, both for advertising their ads on my site and getting traffic to my website.

Also, I ran into a couple “tools” you might want to call it, and I would like your honest and professional opinion.

1-) Rosalind Gardner’s book- The (Gold) Super Affiliate Handbook
2-) Tim Buchalka’s- Web Traffic Software
3-) SpeedPPC- (A key words) tool. I can’t afford it now but is it worth the $200+. (I saw a demo on YouTube.com which, it does look very interesting)

I will do some research on them when I have the time, right now I have a few ebooks to read and a few videos to watch.

Oh, my suggestion of the day: http://www.associateprograms.com Great site!! No, I do not own it, I’m still learning all this stuff but I find it very useful :)

    Cheers!

    • @Charlie: AssociatePrograms was one of the first sites I ran into back in 1999! Was great then and still is.

Have you already done PPC? If so, then SpeedPPC could be worthwhile for you. I’ved used similar tools in the past although I don’t do much PPC anymore.

I don’t know Rosalind Gardner’s updated book. I only know the older version of it.

Tim Buchalka’s software – I’m reading over it. I’ve used similar tools with success, but you definitely need to know when and where to use them – if you don’t already know a lot about white-hat SEO you might want to study up on that first. Dan Thies’s SEOFastStart.com is a good starting point – and its free.

For more autoamated systems like this, here’s what I’ve used:

      • Tools from Mass-Automation.com (site is usually down on weekends)
      • RSStoBlog.com
      • Automation software that I’ve had to developed for Joomla and WordPress (I don’t sell it)
