There was a question about MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org that got buried way down in the comments section of a page, so it’s kind of hard to find. We also have the MakeMoneyTakingSurveys site on the “Not recommended list”.
We explained the issues we have with this site.
The first problem is the big promise that is made at the MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org site:
“Discover How to Make as Much Money as You Want, Just By Having an Internet Connection, Some Spare Time, and an Opinion!”
Not possible.
We next go over the example they give where they try to implant the idea of how much extra can be made using their paid survey database which seems pretty unrealistic based on what we know about legitimate market research companies.
Here’s the claim:
“For instance, if you do four surveys a day, at $10 per survey, you can make $280 per week, $1120 a month, or $13,440 a year!”
The odds against this happening are astronomical. For instance, in order to be chosen for that amount of surveys that many times is extremely unlikely almost to the point of being nonsense (or maybe actually TO that point). Besides, even if somehow your were selected for that many survey opportunities and made it beyond the qualifying surveys and moved on to do the actual surveys, often you’ll just get entered into a drawing for cash or prizes.
Here’s another issue with MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org. You can locate this kind of information completely free at places like KatiesHugs.com.
Finally, let’s go through the testimonials at the MakeMoneyTakingSurveys site:
Testimonial #1:
“This has been a great opportunity for us to earn extra money in our spare time. The money we earned last month helped pay for our family vacation to the beach. Thanks for such a wonderful opportunity, we told all our friends and family about this and they have started taking surveys too.”
Sarah & Joe Johnson”
Here are some other sites that have this EXACT same testimonial:
ConsumerJobs100 (.com)
Testimonial #1 from that site:
” *”This has been a great opportunity for us to earn extra money in our spare time. The money we earned last month helped pay for our family vacation to the beach. Thanks for such a wonderful opportunity, we told all our friends and family about this and they have started taking surveys too.”
- Sarah & Joe Johnson”
Using DomainTools.com I was able to see that this site is registered to a DIFFERENT person than MakeMoneyTakingSurveys (.org)
WorkAtYourPC (.com)
“”This has been a great opportunity for us to earn extra money in our spare time. The money we earned last month helped pay for our family vacation to the beach. Thanks for such a wonderful opportunity, we told all our friends and family about this and they have started taking working at home too.”
Mindy & James Johnson”
What I love about this testimonial is that the PICTURE of the people are the same but the NAMES are different AND it’s the exact same testimonial as used on MakeMoneyTakingSurveys (.org)
Oh, and the site is registered to a completely different person again.
So which site do these people who can’t remember their own names REALLY like?
Umm…..um…..

Your article gave me a little chuckle. Seriously, who do they think they’re fooling?! I’m glad that you are getting the information out there about legitimate work at home jobs. I’ve heard so many people mention surveys and have high hopes that they’re going to earn enough money to pay their mortgage. When reality, they might be lucky to earn enough money for a candy bar.
Its cool you posted this. i nearly registed to this site but been a little curious i decided to do some research about the site and surveys online in general
im glad to see some one is busting these web sites. the only ones making money are the ones at make money taking surveys.org I just wish there was a way to make money like the adds that I have looked at,over the past year I have looked hundereds of these sites that say money can be made doing surveya and all kinds of other stuf the onely ones making money are the ones that get that 39.95 for chance of your chance to get in one the once in a life time offer (don’t make me laugh} can no take these people of the net. are there any work at home jobes that actualy do what thay say I would really like to know.
I looked into the site as well. Although I did not join, for those of you that are interested but do not want to pay the 39.95 try this. Open the site and click the browser bar and type in your favorite search engine (example “google.com”)and press enter. A box will pop up reducing the price to $17 if you hit the cancel button. Do this again and it will let you sign up for $7. Just FYI, I am not endorsing the site I just came across this.
TY, at $7 it’s tempting to give it a try, just to see. The only problem is that you’re giving credit card info to nefarious people.

testimonial. under a different name though but almost identical
*”This has been a great system for us to earn extra money in our spare time. The money we earned last month helped pay for our family vacation to the beach. Thanks for such a wonderful system, we told all our friends and family about this and they have started cashing in too.”
– Jean & Anthony Smogoleski
haha and all i did was google the testimonial provided by you.
coincidence
I think not
keep up the good work guys
At first, I thought this was one of those fake scam sites where the writer is secretly there to actually sell you on the product. I am happy to find out you’re not. This site just saved me $40.00!
The pitch was pretty convincing, but I wanted to make sure so the first thing I did was search for “article on MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org” and your link was at the top of the list. Thanks for putting things in perspective!
the funny thing about this is that I got this thru an email, from a affiliate company that I had canceled a subscription to…they then emailed me back to try this instead, what is it with these people, do the have a adsense campaign, that even when you figure them out, they get paid by just clicking into their phoney site?
Ty, you are so right about the $7.00 deal. I can’t imagine how many people gave away their $39.95 to these rip off people! This certainly saved me some money. I’m going to try this with other paid survey sites too.
Thanks
all of this just saved me $39? $17? $7???? Thanks. i am involved in a cash gifting project which has shown to be promising. moves a little slow at first, but 3mo into it, now starting to move a little. http://www.deeeter.com
WARNING: Do NOT do cash gifting.
While the other advice on this page may save you some money…the advice to NOT do cash gifting could save you from having to go to JAIL.
You can read the the truth about cash gifting here at EagleResearchAssociates.org which specializes in providing investment scam research for federal and local authorities and educating the general public about investment scams.
I was impressed with your review on online surveys and how they were not what they say they are until I noticed that you let ads about that very same thing on your site. Why would you let google ads on your site that tell you that you can make big bucks taking surveys when you just wrote that they are scams.Sounds pretty bad to me.I think I would be more choosey don’t you but I guess money talks.
Well, it was either allow ads to run or shut the site down. Not ALL ads are scams, but the adsense system doesn’t allow enough control.
Google adsense places ads algorithmically based on the content of the page.
Some day I’ll go to a different system.
Anyhow, I try to do what I can within those limitations and they DO say ADVERTISING and NOT “Endorsement”.
If you knew how much time I actually spend helping people recover money WITHOUT charging them you might think the BETTER decision was to find a way to keep the site running.
But I definitely hear you.
I might tell the people I’ve been helping with the huge group of people I’ve been helping tirelessly to file complaints against and recover money from Google Money Tree how you feel.
I think you should do that actually and see what they say.
I guess my biggest SINGLE win to date has been helping ONE person recover close to $3,000 with NO charge to her and with me spending literally hundreds of hours of my time for free.
You should probably go and warn the site RatRaceRebellion that has programs for spouses of the military that they provided for free, because…horrors of horrors…they run ADVERTISING on their site and some of that advertising is BAD advertising.
Also, head over to ScamBusters.org which has been recommended by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Forbes, & Consumer Reports as a reliable source for fighting scams and tell THEM they had better TAKE DOWN ADSENSE!!!!
Oh, look what I just stumbled across…Scambusters is on Entrepreneur Magazine’s 10 Fraud Prevention Resources list
I bet if YOU made that Fraud Prevention site list you’d probably put sites like SiteReviewAuthority.org on it and tell people to AVOID sites like ScamBusters.
Nice work, genius.
Do you even have a CLUE what it takes to run a site that’s over 3,000 pages?
Yes, I will change the advertising OVER TIME, but to decide you don’t like a review because you saw ads on the side seems a bit bizarre.
What’s even MORE bizarre is that people don’t complain to the SOURCES of the problem, which actually is NOT the products themselves, but the affiliate networks and affiliates that push to move those products out into the market place.
But I guess you’re a guy who likes to go for the “easy shots”.
Congratulations!
Sir,
I am disabled at 39 and can’t afford to lose any money to a scam. I sit in a chair all day on the computer because thats all my body will let me do. I am smart and able to complete online surveys w/o any effect of my illness. Can you suggest 2 or 3 ligite sites for taking doing surveys and data entry. I am so bored. Please help!
Thank You

I am so glade I researched before signing up with company. I should listen to the Family Support Center on the military base I live on They had a work from home seminar & we was told no legitiment work from home company requires the potential employee to have to pay to work.
Thanks,
Tracy
Don,
I’d suggest you check out the following sites:
SurveyPolice.com and
KatiesHugs.com
Tracy,
Are you a military spouse?
If so, you may want to check out the following pages that list extensive resources for military spouses:
Thank you very much for this info. you just save me $40.00, i’m happy that exist people like you, to help us,
Paul,
Thank you for all your useful information posted on your website. I must say that I am impressed by your willingness to help others out, when you have no monitary gain from it.
I do have a question for you though. I am active duty military, so my day is pretty full. But the pay doesnt always seem to be enough for all the bills. It is partly my fault, because I like nice things. I am not looking for an instant get rich quick plan, just something to help get by while I am at home with the family. Is there any site out there that you can recommend to work from home and get some kind of return.
Again, thank you for your help and what you are doing for everyone else.
Eric
woahhh!! u almost saved me frm registering there..thank u!!
Make Money Taking Surveys is the absolute worst thing I ever signed up for. After signing up for several companies as suggested I got bombarded with offers that required participation*. They stated that but said that all I had to do was sign up for the trial period and would get different prizes(Macair, Ipod, $1,000 gift cards). I thought that as long as I didn’t give my CC# I was safe. That is where I was wrong. I got phone calls and junkmail from Magazine company’s(5), grant services(2), Psychic ring for only $7 I could be very lucky, loan services that would text me saying $1,500 was available when I called to tell them I wasn’t interested a message said there voicemail was full. They still have not refunded my money. I have sent them 2 emails requesting my receipt # to request a refund and no response. However through about 20 minutes of research I found NSA, technologies runs the sught and hopefully they will refund my money or experience the wrath of a bitter costumer.
Dwaine,
It looks like the MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org is sold through ClickBank. If you did in fact by MakeMoneyTakingSurveys through ClickBank I would suggest that you try to get a refund following These ClickBank refund instructions if you’ve already tried to resolve it with the company directly and they haven’t resolved it within 2 business days.
This assumes you bought MakeMoneyTakingSurveys within the last 60 days.
I’m also trying to get my money back on this MakeMoneyTakingSurveys website but they have not replied to my email….Dwaine…have you had any luck yet?? if so let me know what you did…Meanwhile,I’m going to try Paul’s suggestion…thanks!!
I finally had success by calling NSA technologies in Akron they can be found on BBB online(located in Akron, Ohio). Make sure you have your receipt #(both if you signed up for the VIP site). Tell their customer service you want the refund link and do what is asked. It took about 3 weeks for my card to get credited.
thanks for the info.. i just want to join this program .. thanks 4 saving me
you are a genius. and even at $7 its still a scam, and you should not try. If I saw you touch fire and got burnt I don’t need to touch that fire to know I am going to get burnt. I tried the site and got burnt. I also used clickbank to get a refund. Surveys in general are not bad if you do happen to find a company that actually pays cash to your paypal or sends you a check.thats what the Make Money Taking Surveys site was supposed to do and if they had actually done that even if it was 100 sites that gauranted $1-$3 it would be worth the money. But all they have is a BIG SITE OF SCAMS!!
Thanks for saving so many other people from getting burnt like me.
I am soooo bummed. I really want to find a ligite site that will pay me for ‘working from home’.
I have a condition that keeps getting me fired from work and I honestly need to work from home to keep everything afloat. Someone please help me.

[[I couldn't stand it.]]
Interesting and informative article. I would have spent the $40 happily,if I hadn’t read your article. I will be telling all my “work at home” mom friends over at this talk forum I hang out, at http://blabtalk.com
Looks like a good forum, Debra.
Also I saw you use Mailinator which suggests that I may need to add those types of programs to have comments like yours go to my potential spam queue as I almost flagged yours as spam commenting.
While Mailinator and the other many programs like it are useful, they are also commonly abused by various types of spammers.
Obviously when I see your link back to this article I’ll know you didn’t just come here to spam the blog.
Thanks! You just saved me $40. I knew the only reason those other guys were recommending it was for referrals. I just knew it. Thanks for this site!
You’re welcome, Laurie.
Thank’s dude! I really nearly registred to that fucking site in hope to get a tons of money! Great that it comes in my mind to search in google “makemoney….org scam”
Thank’s again!
And have a nice day!

Make Money Taking Surveys
Yup, $40 saved just for being skeptical. Thanks. So where the hell is our government (the mother of all scams). It just goes to prove the our government is completely out of touch with the people they are sworn to serve. The sad thing is that I, like many other people are the ones who get burnt. I cann’t wait my $17,ooo,ooo check to arrive from the Nigerian National Bank, I just afraid scam artist will make off with most of it before it even hits my bank account
