EarnCashFastWithGoogle Complaints

I’ve been tracking down numerous seemingly fake websites that are promoting various products that are generating a huge number of complaints.

One of the products many of those sites are promoting is a product called EarnFastCashWithGoogle. So let’s take a look at why EarnCashFastWithGoogle is generating so many complaints.

3/28/2009 update: This is NOT an endorsement or NON-endorsement of EarnCashFastWithGoogle, but I still cannot understand how people can miss the information disclosing monthly charges on their sites disclosing the terms of their offer. When I checked it was on ALL of the following sites that are used to promote this offer:

  • GoogleProfitTree – The version I looked at showed the monthly charges in a big blue box at the bottom of the page BEFORE the first step of the order form.
  • MakeCashFastWithGoogle – The version I looked at had “Risk-Free Trial Information” in bolded green letters DIRECTLY to the left of where you enter your credit card information. The monthly charges were spelled out there.

3/3/2009 Update: It is still baffling to me how people are missing the disclosures on the EarnCashFastWithGoogle site. This is NOT an endorsement of the product, but from what I’ve seen EarnCashFastWithGoogle’s method of disclosure has to be one of the most consumer-friendly one that I’ve seen. I have to agree with what they’ve now detailed in their advertising policy link which you can read here.

However, I don’t like the fact that you have to take ALL 3 services instead of being able to select – buffet-style.

I did just notice a separate issue: The second page of the EarnCashFastWithGoogle site is displaying the HackerSafe logo on the order page. The two issues with displaying the HackerSafe logo are:

  1. HackerSafe was bought out by McAfee and ultimately changed the HackerSafe logo to McAfee Secure.  Click here to read about the HackerSafe change to McAfee Secure, which be reading the comments looks like was done AUTOMATICALLY.
  2. A security seal like HackerSafe (now McAfee Secure) is supposed to be clickable so that you can verify the last time the site was scanned on a trusted 3rd-party site.

FIRST – I want to be clear that we have NEVER recommended the EarnCashFastWithGoogle product and based on what I’ve seen based on the sales page alone it would NEVER a chance of getting anywhere near our Top 10 Recommended Home Businesses list.

I just saw a lot of complaints about their “Earn Google Cash” type product and wondered what they were about.

2/4/2009 Update: While the sales page certainly has some strange things about it that I discuss below, one thing I can’t understand is how people don’t know they’ll be charged monthy after the trial period. On the page I looked at there was a gigantic blue box describing the terms of the offer – DIRECTLY above where you start entering your information. Is there a different sales page that I don’t know about?

Strange wording and bad grammar is available for “all who qualify”!

O.K. On page 1 I see that I “may qualify” for one of their free kits. I’d like to know who DOESN’T qualify for one of EarnCashFastWithGoogle’s free kits.

Also, the following sentence doesn’t even make sense in the context of the page:

“Google has earned people millions of dollars, time for you to get your share! See if you qualify for our free kit and start today!”

I can’t imagine what “Google earning people millions of dollars” has to do with EarnCashFastWithGoogle. While PEOPLE might be able to earn money by learning to use Google Adwords through a legitimate system like Matt Levenhagen’s CampaignBlast’s Training…The company GOOGLE isn’t earning ANYONE millions of dollars except maybe some of their employees and shareholders. :-(

To “Qualify” for My “Free Kit” I just have to “Order Now”. Huh?

Now, I know this is typically “marketing-speak” but it just seems alarmingly bizarre in the context of the previous claim that “I may qualify for one of their free kits”. So in order to qualify for my “Free Kit” I guess I just have to PAY.

You might also qualify if you habitually use poor grammar!

On the first page of the EarnCashFastWithGoogle.com offer I noticed this disclaimer by a testimonial from Kelly T. (Maybe he’s related to “Mr. T”?):

“*Results not typical.
Individuals has been remunerated.”

Well, at least they did put a dislcaimer, even if it’s grammatically incorrect.

“Important Notice” from EarnCashFastWithGoogle Limiting the Number of “Hand-Held” Experiences Available! Whaaat?

According to the “Giant Red Box”:

“Unfortunately, we cannot offer this to everyone. I am really sorry about this, but the offer is extremely limited!”

Hmm. I wonder if it’s only limited to people who ORDER? ;-) I guess those are the people who get the “excellent hand-held experience” mentioned in the “Giant Red Box”:

The Earn Google Cash system ensures that you will have an excellent hand-held experience”

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I’ve actually been spending a significant amount of time trying to figure out what a “hand-held experience” could possibly be. Also, I hope I don’t drop it. ;-)

A REAL Two-for-One Deal: TWO baffling sentences on ONE page!

OK. On the SAME page I see these two sentences:

Sentence 1:See, even though we are releasing this for FREE initially, we are only giving away an undisclosed number of 14-day trial packages.” I wonder if the “undisclosed number is related to Graham’s Number?

Sentence 2: “Why Am I Giving Away This Earn Google Cash System For Free?”

Now Sentence 1 makes it seem like EarnCashFastWithGoogle will EITHER be free OR it will be a “14-day trial package”. And then Sentence 2 makes it seem like CURRENTLY the EarnCashFastWithGoogle system is free.

Let’s see if the EarnCashFastWithGoogle system is really free (don’t hold your breath)…

Amazingly, EarnCashFastWithGoogle actually puts the offer details right on the front page in a big blue box, although the print is pretty small. Even though I’m not at all impressed by their bizarre sales page, EarnCashFastwithGoogle’s disclosure of the trial conditions on the main page is WAY better than what most similar products do (other similar productst tend to link to the Terms & Conditions where you have to hunt down information about the additional fees).

So let’s see what the additional charges are:

  • $1.00 refundable processing fee
  • After your 7-day FREE trial period it’s $29.95 per month (automatically charged monthly at the end of the trial period).
  • A FREE fourteen-day trial and twenty one-day trial to the Fraud Protection Resource Center and Identity Theft Protection for just $4.95 and $9.95 a month thereafter (shows as “FraudProtection” and “IdentitySecurity”) should you choose not to cancel.

OK. So even though they initially presented a lot of baffling information at the beginning regarding whether their system was free or a 14-day trial, now they’re at least putting the offer details directly on the main page…although NOW it’s a 7-day FREE trial (I’m not sure what happened to the EarnCashFastWithGoogle free 14-day trial mentioned previously). Also, what if I already have fraud protection and don’t want theirs?

Although based on this page alone there’s ZERO CHANCE I would ever recommend this “Earn Cash Fast with Google” product to anyone, except maybe one of my competitors. ;-)

For example the product I recommend on the site for learning to make money with Google Adwords is Matt Levenhagen’s Campaign Blasts Method and here’s the remarkable thing about Matt’s sales page: it actually makes sense ALL the way through – unlike EarnCashFastWithGoogle.com’s sales page which seems to be a mix of nonsensical phrasing, contradictory statements, followed FINALLY by the REAL terms of the offer (at least they did get THAT part right).

OK. If for some strange reason I did actually get this product, how would I cancel or make a refund?

  • For EarnCashFastWithGoogle it says: “you can chat with live operator by calling (866)341-7163 within the first 7 days to cancel, and you will not be charged.”
  • During the PAID membership of EarnCashFastWithGoogle it says: “If for any reason you are dissatisfied, chat with a live operator, and you’ll no longer be charged.” OK.
  • OK. For the “Fraud Protection Resource Center” it says: “You have also unlocked a FREE fourteen-day trial and twenty one-day trial to the Fraud Protection Resource Center and Identity Theft Protection for just $4.95 and $9.95 a month thereafter (shows as “FraudProtection” and “IdentitySecurity”) should you choose not to cancel. Prior charges for bonus are non-refundable but subscription can be cancelled and future charges stopped at any time by calling toll-free 1-800-712-7226 and 1-866-342-2994.”

Fine, but I still want to know how EASY it is to REALLY get the services canceled.

Now I’m going to have to rely on feedback from other people on that because I have ZERO INTEREST in even reviewing this EarnCashFastWithGoogle offer based on what I’ve seen so far.

So if anyone wants to let other people know their experiences with canceling the EarnCashFastWithGoogle offer, let them know here.

Update: 2/1/2009: So far it seems that customer service handling EarnCashFastWithGoogle has been very helpful and prompt.

Also, if you initially signed up through a page other than the “EarnCashFastWithGoogle.com” page, I’d be interested in knowing what that page was.

Form on First page:

First Name :
Current Marital Status :
Annual Household Income :

Year Born:

Note: I’ll be finishing the rest of this page later, but I’m going to go ahead and publish it to see what kind of experience people have had canceling and/or refunding EarnCashFastWithGoogle and how hard or easy it is to cancel and/or refund.

Note: Now there are some sites that seem to call this The Google Easy Cash System.

What an outstanding job analyzing this website. The unfortunate thing is that there are so many of these out there. I appreciate the amount of time you put into critiquing and loved your sense of humor.

  2. John says:

Many of these sites are using a template with a copyrighted photo as well (the couple in front of the Eiffel Tower.) Their hosting providers have been served DMCA notices and are forced to remove the photo. I got burned on this and threatened with a lawsuit.

  3. John,

I don’t understand. Are you saying that the affiliate network provided you with the template?

Or are you saying that you were running a scammy site with stolen pictures and somehow feel that you got “burned”?

  4. Spring Field Worker says:

How come the Company “Google” is not doing anything to kick their butt?

They are using their logo on their product and also they are trying to cheat. What the hell?

  5. It’s not really possible to know if Google is doing anything or not about it. Usually they’ll send a Cease and Desist (C&D) letter to the company first. But that’s something the general public may or may not know depending on how public the letter becomes.

The site ChillingEffects.org keeps a database of Cease and Desist letters, but someone has to submit the letters to the database.

I bet there are thousands of sites using Google’s Trademarked name without their permission.

We have a long discussion about another company called GoogleMoneyKit going on here.

  6. Brad says:

    Paul,

I found your “lens”/website when I “Googled” an offer called “Earn Google Cash” promoted by someone named Danny Goldberg. The wording and offer presented on his webpage is almost exactly like that which you described for the “EarnCashFastWithGoogle”. Are these essentially the same fraudulent offers and have you reviewed the “Earn Google Cash” product? What bothers me, if this is a fraudulent offer, is that I came across the ad in an email (subscribed) received from the Career Builder website with job postings in my area. I am currently unemployed.

The information you present in your lens is the first honest accumulation of work at home offer reviews I’ve been able to find.

    Thanks!

  7. Hi,

The “Earn Google Cash”/Danny Goldberg offer is the same as the EarnCashFastWithGoogle.

I’ll be posting a little more about the “talking person” named “Danny Goldberg” on EarnCashFastWithGoogle.com’s website here in a bit.

OK. Here’s the information about “Danny Goldberg” on the EarnCashFastWithGoogle site.
If you look at a site called http://www.Automated-Forex.com which we DO NOT RECOMMEND you’ll notice what appears to be the SAME person going by the name of “Michael Vincent” promoting a forex product.

That’s because those sites are using a service called http://www.LiveFaceOnWeb.com. I’m not an attorney so I don’t know the legalities around doing that, but personally I’d rather see the REAL product maker on the site, not some putative “representative” of the company (cool, I got to use the word “putative” that I learned in 11th grade. LOL).

NOTE: LiveFaceOnWeb is merely providing the service. What ultimately happens to the service they provide is out of their control.

Here’s the LiveFaceOnWeb profile for the actor used on both those pages. He goes by the name Doug there.

Hmm. I wonder if that means I could “order” Doug to get him to be a “website representative” on this page? And can I give him any name I want – like “Nuttie McDoogle” or something? I’m sure a lot of you have a few choice names for him. ;-)

  8. John says:

Well, my friend set up the website for me and used the same template as some of these sites:

    http://successmoneyblog.com/trevor/
    http://www.davidsonlinebusiness.com/

Anyway, my the hosting provider sent me an email saying they’d received a DMCA notice about the photo and that I had to remove it. I’m sure these other sites will probably receive a similar notice soon, if they haven’t already.

  9. There are tons of them. I have a list of 170 of those template-based sites on this page here.

  10. It seems like a very fraudulent product to me. I think one of the easy first signs is when they start showing you what you can buy with your new money (ie cars, house, vacations) before they even tell you how you will be making all of this money!

Very good breakdown of the website you’ve got here.

    Thank!

    -James

I have to admit that I was sincerely interested in this product after seeing many ads for it via myspace. Usually I’m never suckered in by these schemes, but alas these are economically harsh times. Thank god I decided to check on the complaints before I signed up. You’ve saved me from making a costly mistake. Much appreciated.

P.S. This is my testimonial you can send to those F@&kers

  12. Best testimonial ever! LOL.

Glad you found this information first.

  13. Roland says:

It would be interesting to have someone (John?) explain actually what happens after you pay your money? ie, what exactly is the product/service being provided. It sounds like some sort of pyramid scheme in which you make your money by convincing others to spend their money with you, but it would be interesting to know.
    Anyone….?

  14. lakeisha mickey says:

Thanks for this imformation. I tried chatting with the live operator before ordering and they kept repeating the same lines over and over not answering any of my questions thats how i figured it was garbage anyway. Thanks again for analyzing how false this site is.

  15. Simon T says:

    Thank-you Paul, much appreciated.

  16. VeruKa says:

Thanks for the info. I was sitting here dabating on whether I should give this site a try and you made me realize that I’d probably just be getting scammed….again. Yes, it has happened to me before. Well, thanks again. Keep up the great work. You should be a detective.lol.

  17. dewbmx says:

    Good looking out dogg!
    -much appreciated

  18. You’re welcome VeruKa and dewbmx.

I’ll bet you’ll never look at “free kit” offers the same way again, eh? LOL.

  19. Gullible says:

Normally, I have a healthy level of skepticism, but, certain circumstances being as they are, I fell for this one. It’s not all bad, though.

I never did receive the package they said they would send, and I had thought that the 7-day trial would begin when I actually received and activated something. So, I was pretty surprised when I found a $29.95 charge on my account, so I called the number listed and spoke with a helpful person who canceled my service and refunded my money.

In conclusion, it is a scam that I hope no one falls for, but I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was to get my money back.

  20. Gullible,

Just make sure you followup and confirm on your statements that you got the refund.

  21. Gullible says:

I already received it. Again, a pleasant surprise.

  22. Anonymous says:

I also fell for this one… oops. I had done some research before I ordered it, but it seems as if I was researching ‘Google Cash’ (by Chris Carpenter and seems to be legit) rather than ‘Earn Google Cash’ by Danny Goldberg. Does anyone have any feedback on the ‘Google Cash’ system?

Anyways, I ordered the ‘Earn Google Cash’ system about a week ago, and still have received nothing. I will call the number tomorrow and see if I can cancel the service right away. Thanks

  23. I have a review of Google Cash here.

I used Chris Carpenter’s Google Cash System when it first came out and did VERY well, but I no longer recommend it because there’s more of a risk of a person blowing through a lot of money before seeing any success and because there are better products. I think that review is important because it applies to a lot of other products being sold today.

If you want the shortcut of the low-risk, low-cost profit path I think MOST people should take I suggest you read a section I put up called Bootstrapping your business.

Note: For a while I was a moderator for the private training membership for GoogleCash called AdwordMentor

  24. Jonathan says:

I was also stupid enough to fall for this scam. Usually, I see right through them as I work in an IT support role.
However, this one looked good and I thought what could I lose for giving them a dollar?!
Sure enough, 7 days later a further withdrawal came out of my account.
But to give them their due, when I called up to ask for a refund, they were courteous and said I would have my money back within 5-10 days.
I didn’t think I would see it again, but 2 days later it is now sitting back in my account.

So all’s well that ends well. Just remember that free money is always too good to be true.

  28. Eileen Chesney says:

I also fell for this “Earn cash fast with google.com

After reading this article, I phoned the 1-800-712-7226 to find that this is Identity theft protection. The 1-866-342-2994 is the Fraud Protection site. These numbers only operate from Monday to Friday. Finally called the 1-866-341-7163 for the Earn cash fast with google. Was put on hold after a prerecorded message and wondered if anyone would actually answer. After what seemed like a long time,I actually spoke with a person and told them that I wanted to cancel the order. I immediately called my Credit Card Company to see if they would not put any item from this firm, but they said that they could not do that. But to watch to see if anything would be put through and they would investigate it for me.
Hope that this helps anyone that wishes to cancel.

    Hi,
Paul.I liked your analysis and observation.I was looking with the website earncashfastwithgoogle.com.I was in doubt when i saw the same guy of forexautotradingpilot guy here who challenges in that site about making money on the forex market.I am very pleased with your work.I am also internet marketer but i dont like to cheat my audiences.I do have website which is free and is real.Paul if you like i want to exchange your link in my website so that my readers get good knowledge about scam. Before exchanging link,I encourage you to verify my website.it is http://www.apnamoneychannel.com

  30. Paurav,

I looked at your site and it looks good.

Are most of the opportunities you post open to residents of India?

I need sites like yours to be able to send my site visitors who are from India as often what I have here isn’t quite right for them.

And I get questions from them about opportunities that are very scammy and I really think they just need a site like yours to guide them in the right direction.

  31. Paurav Gupta says:

    hi,
thanks for the reply.Yes it is for most of the asian vistors becuase they cant afford to get scammed. And its just not open to them but its available to all members around the globe.I am going to link your website in my website so that it would help my vistors to know more about scam.thanks

  32. Thanks, Paurav

I’ll see if I can find a good section to start putting international sites like yours in. Certainly many of the opportunities listed on WorkAtHomeTruth can be done internationally, but from what I saw on your site it seemed that you’re making sure your opportunities available to the Asian visitors.

  33. Sachith J says:

I signed up for this and after a week of not receiving anything in the mail. I called to cancel. The Earn Google Cash number told me to go to a website and chat with a live operator. I did so and was able to cancel without a problem. I called the other two numbers too and was able to cancel them without a problem.

  34. J says:

    Paul,

I am really grateful I landed on this site. I signed up for it yesterday, initially clicking an ad on facebook, which led me to this link:
    http://www.milliondollarclix.com/make-money/?t202id=42965&t202kw=MoneyUK

This will take you to the “Eiffel Tower Couple” page where there is no mention of a 7 day trial or a fee after the 7 days. The links on there points to:

    http://www.milliondollarclix.com/make-money/earncashwithgoogle.php
which is the main sales page. Once you click it, the url in the address bar changes a few times (not sure of the significance though)

I have managed to cancel thanks to the excellent information on here.
What still puzzles me is the fact that when you do phone up to cancel a) the person on the other end sounds like he/she expects you to, and b) the reference number is the first 8 digits of your order confirmation number. I am beginning to think it is the same company!!!

    Thanks again

    J

    Cheers, Chris.

  39. Sally says:

Thanks so much for your analysis and thank the lord I found it. I got as far as the “pay me $1″ page and alarm bells started to ring so I googled and found your analysis. Am a bit worried they have my address and phone number now so they will no doubt sell that on to companies who will spam the life out of me but better that than anything worse.

Was very suprised because the site was emailed to me saying try this and it was a link in an article in the Guardian newspaper in UK so probably isn’t a scam. Shall be writing to the Guardian!!

  40. Hmm. That’s strange.

Do you still have that email?

  41. Sally says:

    Hi Paul

It was my mother that sent me the scam link and info so have emailed her to see if she can find the page link in the Guardian.

Am so impressed with your site I am just writing a huge blog post about you for my UK readers. Big thumbs up to you. Will post it later today but have put my url in here if you are interested in seeing what I say about you.

    Sally

  42. Sally says:

Woops forgot the url … now in

  43. Hey, thanks Sally.

Yes, sure. Go ahead and post the url.

    Paul

  44. Sally says:
  45. Thanks for the nice write-up Sally. Very nice site, too. Is the whole site yours?

Yes, American’s seem to like things hyped-up which makes it tough to find the legitimate opportunities, because what happens is that to sell the legitimate opportunities often THOSE sales pages get hyped up, too so that they’ll convert so everything ends up looking the same.

I’ve been trying to figure out why so many smart people buy dumb business opportunities and think I made some headway in this article I put up at hubpages if anyone’s interested.

  46. Sally says:

Yes it’s all mine Paul, 2 blogs and website, review site coming soon (gosh I’m exhausted just thinking about it)I’m one of the little people that is trying to do it all with no computer knowledge, no budget but a gut full of enthusiasm .. wish me luck I need it!

  47. Impressive. Yep. Good luck for sure!

  48. Lauren says:

Hi I am after the numbers to cancel. I live in Australia

  49. Andy says:

I almost fell for this kit until I got to the part where I had to submit my credit card information and read the disclaimer saying I’d be charged $29.95 per month. When I closed the window, a chat messaging window opened with a person named Sam (a cartoon picture of an attractive blond woman with a headset accompanied the message window) telling me not to cancel because I could earn a lot of money. Curious, I responded saying it was a scam because they were charging me. An automatic response came back saying it wasn’t a scam. I responded saying that even charging me $1.00 for a work opportunity was wrong. “Sam” responded the $29.95 “membership” charge the website advertised) and that they had hundreds of satisfied customers.

Anyhow, I noted the bad grammar and writing, flashy graphics and strong persuasive language (and an annoying pop-up video with audio of some guy in a suit saying how unfair it was that there were so many rich people out there and why can’t more people like “you” be wealthy) but my curiosity got the best of me.

Basically, trust your gut, anything that sounds too good to be true ALWAYS IS! Especially when it comes to looking young, losing weight and money. Lots of money.

  50. Vince says:

Earncashfastwithgoogle is 100% Scam. I played along by pretending to order with fake info. When I closed the browser, a pop up box asked me to cancel and chat with a live operator named “Sam”. I figured it out it was not live. If you keep typing “Scam”, it gives you the same response. It was an automated program, there was no live operator. Try typing the F word and see what is says hehehe..
