Thanks, Costa

Glad to hear it. And I hear what you're saying about Doubling Stocks - after all that's what made them so good at scamming - they were pros at it and when you have people like that, they can get to almost anybody.

Hey Paul,

I have seen so many dirty affiliate marketing tactics its unbelievable.

And yes, I have been back... for awhile now... just never wanted to really bring attention to my name.

I dont plan on selling my own traffic systems, or affiliate marketing millionaire overnight type system.

I built a very strong affiliate marketing business, and plan to continue running it.

I dont run any review sites that promote my own products, not to say that I havent done that in the past.

Anyway, good job on the site! Im glad you are letting people know it is possible to start a home business, and steering them away from possible scams.

Costa,

I don't think the "everybody's doing it" argument is going to fly. Having helped the FTC directly on one of the bigger cases (In Deep Servicdes) and also talking to them about affiliate marketing - one of the big reasons they never really paid attention to affiliate marketing is they had no idea how it worked.

So, for example, in my write-ups it seems that you (or the new owner) owns review sites of products that you (or the new owner) themselves own. Now you and I know that "everybody's doing it", but certainly that doesn't make it right.

I've been hoping that the "old Costa" would come back and it sounds like he is, so at least that's something I'm glad to hear from you.

This is actually the first time I have seen this posting, thats why I am replying to it.

I typically ignore all the bashing that my name gets and take it as something that comes with putting your name out there.

Most of my sites are purely affiliate marketing now, I have ways of generating traffic, and insted of running my own offers I promote other peoples offers. This is truely a much easier way to run an online business.

Affiliate marketing is pretty much the only type of sales you can do that does not require any customer support, or massive overhead.

For example the breast enhancement product, I simply put together a quick review page, drive traffic to it and make sales from an affiliate network. I never have to worry about shipping the product, offering refunds, or taking care of the customer. As long as the company I am promoting takes care of their customers I will continue to promote the websites.

Regarding the doubling stocks program, I never knew it was a scam. I was approached by a group that told me they had some awesome software and asked if I could send some traffic. I did, it converted. They approached me before anyone else had really promoted it. Looking back I wish I knew what they had planned, if I knew the tactics they use I would have never even thought about promoting the site.

About two months ago I learned how they operated.... yes, I promoted the site a year or so ago, but just found out what the heck they had been doing.

Regarding the sales tactics on my older sites, and affiliate sites... its direct marketing, look over just about any direct marketing material out there. Either from today, or from 50 years ago, you will find the tactics are almost exactly the same.

Here is a quick overview of a sales page:

Headline - Catch their attention

Sub Headline - spark more interest (teaser)

Desire - Give the reader something they want, yet leave them yearning for more. Add urgency and scarcity to increase the interest.

Guarantee - Make sure you tell the customer they can get a refund (you MUST honor this refund). Or however else you would like to guarantee the transaction.

Closing - Now that your reader wants more, tell them what to do. Tell them to order, or enter their email, or pick up the phone and call... whatever it is you want them to do, TELL them to do it.

Testimonials - Insert testimonials from real customers, or clients. Or add your own experience using the products (must disclose if you are receiving compensation)

Close Again, Yes tell the visitor one more time to pick up the phone, click the order button, enter their email, or whatever you want them to do.

P.S. and end of sales letter. Always sign the letter with your name, add a picture and place a P.S. statement. The PS statement should be a brief overview of the product your selling, highlight the benefits, make sure you bring urgency up again. They need to make the decision at this point, so anything to clarify the offer and make them become a lead needs to be done.

So Paul, I hope you can understand the error I made while promoting doubling stocks. I will not promote any stock market related program again. And if you ever have any questions please feel free to message me.

I have not made a public posting in awhile, so maybe I will start writing about my adventures in affiliate marketing :)

Costa,

I can't imagine why you would wait so long to post this message. Let's just say that it seems more than a little bit suspect, especially considering sales tactics used across many of your sites.

I know you put out good products early in your career and maybe you are again, but it's been distressing to see many of the extremely questionable sales tactics across so many of your sites and your promotion of one of THE MOST fraudulent investment products in ClickBank history - Doubling Stocks - and that's not just my opinion that's partly based on the opinion of my good friend Lynndel Edgington who works with an assigned federal agent to help investigate financial crimes - especially investment fraud.
