Report the U.S. Department of State to the FTC?

Here’s a baffling comment considering that the WorkAtHomeTruth site has over 2000 pages of free information, a free forum, tons of free listing for job leads, a free telecommuting tool and on and on…

I had sent an email about a Telecommuting resource listed by the United States Department of State as a resource and recommended by many top telecommuting experts – here’s what the person said:

“I actually did believe this was a legitimate site designed to help people with no money find work from home.

After visiting the link I find it’s the same as all the others – you want money.
I think it’s an appalling way to earn a living, scamming desperate people with nothing to spare.
As a principle this absolutely stinks ! Why should anyone pay upfront for the ‘chance’ of a job ?
I’d gladly pay AFTERWARDS a nominal sum to show my appreciation if a worthwhile opportunity existed.”

I really wasn’t sure how to respond, so I just replied with:

Ummm. I have tons of free job listings and resources
on the site all over the place plus 2000 pages
of free information.

You better write to the State Department of the United
States of America as they also list HomeJobStop
as a resource:
http://www.state.gov/m/fsi/tc/79980.htm

Maybe you could report the State Department
to the Federal Trade Commission!

What I’m doing is providing people with
CORRECT information – both free and
paid – including the free telecommuting
tool at the site, free listings for phone
work, free listing of free telecommuting
resources in the forum…free listings
of other free training for businesses
on the blog.

I don’t know what to say. Your comment
is baffling.

I went ahead and blocked you from
being able to subscribe to the list again
since you found it so offensive.
