What is a quick shot review? Quick shot reviews of sales letters for products like GoogleWorksToday are designed to teach you how to analyze sales messages  more critically.

GoogleWorksToday sales process analysis:

GoogleWorksToday claims that you can make $200 to $907 per day working from with Google. And also claims that anyone with a computer and basic typing skills can make money with Google.

The first thing to understand is that you will not be working FOR Google. Also, it takes MUCH more than basic computer and basic typing skills to really make money using the Google search engine and advertising platform. You need decent analytical skills and fair amount of risk tolerance just to name a few other attributes generally found in successful entrepreneurs.

GoogleWorksToday “As Seen and Trusted on ABC, CNBC, and CNN”

The GoogleWorksToday.com uses the statement “As Seen and Trusted on ABC, CNBC and CNN” which implies that that GoogleWorksToday gained special trust by being on these stations or those stations websites.

At the same time the GoogleWorksToday.com site states at the bottom of the first page:

“Fox News, ABC, CNBC, Google, and CNN do not endorse this product.”

And even if the product from GoogleWorksToday.com WAS seen on those stations, how do they know it was “trusted”?

Note: GoogleWorksToday also references the product as Google Fortune on the first page and GoogleWorks on the second page.

On the second page of the GoogleWorksToday sales process I noticed a giant arrow pointing to the order section that states “Get Your Kit Today and Start Making Money!” And at the top of the order section are the words “Only pay a $1.97 processing fee.”

ALWAYS scroll to the bottom of a page in a sales process!

Two things you should ALWAYS do when going through a sales process for products like GoogleWorksToday are:

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the pages of the sales process
  2. Find and READ the Terms and Conditions

You are looking for any monthly charges along with cancelation and refund instructions

I scrolled down past the arrow and found the following information:

“You will have 7 days from the date of order to evaluate our product. If you decide you are happy with the product do nothing. For your 7 day trial you will only receive a one-time charge of $1.97, and if you decide to continue with the membership after your trial – you will only be billed $69.97 per month. There are no obligations and no strings attached. You can cancel anytime via our customer support line at 877-402-2666.”

Whether or not most people would scroll down past the big arrow isn’t something I can’t comment on. There IS a part of the “100% Satisfaction RISK FREE GUARANTEE” statement showing, so that could possibly draw the eyes down to the monthly terms.

Personally, I prefer to see the future monthly charges right on the order form – preferably at the top.

I’ll be blunt about GoogleWorksToday – a.k.a Google Fortune

GoogleWorksToday uses a type of sales process I don’t like. Keep in mind that this is just MY personal opinion. I just prefer monthly charge information to be DIRECTLY ON the order form.

    Absolutely a non-trusted site for me. I engaged in a live “chat” asking if there were any additional charges beyond the $0.99 shipping charge for the “free trail kit”. Never received a direct answer! They would not answer “yes” or “no” even though I challenged their lack of response and told them they were just selecting pre-done . The person named “Jenny” said she (he?) had “limited knowledge” about the product and advised me to call a toll-free number 1-877-402-2666. Upon calling the number, someone told me the company is “Fun Web Profits” in which you sign up for their program to “sell” products on the internet. The program is free for 7 days, but on day 8 you are charged $69.97 every month to remain on their program. So, it is also in my opinion very deceptive advertising and if a company needs to be this “creative” in their advertising, I’m not interested in doing business with them either.

    This such a scam, although sort of wise for using “known” names such as “ABC, CNBC, and CNN.”

    I visited the sight out of curiosity and read the “Terms and Condition.” And wow, from less than a dollar shipping fee up to about $70 charge monthly fee…? And Trial is only 7 days as off you get in, and how long do they think you’ll get the kit? Very interesting I say.

    I’ve had enough of it and tried to get out, and similar to desperate spammers they would have “live virtual agent.” So I tested this “live virtual agent” named “Rachel” and she failed my test. Auto respond didn’t quite made it.

    i got screwed last night, seen the add for $1.95 (ps im in the uk) as many have said it looked good until you read the terms and conditions, so i logged into a site called serchn4profits that (after paying the $1.95) they sent me my registration to this site , i logged on to canx account but canx form wont go through keep getting error messages.
    anyway i rang my bank this morn and hey not only did they take the 1.95 but have also taken a £43.43 payment paid to a company called “grants are us” also a payment of £15.75 to a company called “auctions support”.
    my bank said its likely that i will have to foot those payment which has pissed me off big time, this is supposed to be a free 7day canx site, but it looks as if they take your money first which i didnt sign up for. what happens next i dont know, i have my brother in the usa to try phoning them to see if he can get my money back, but i dont hold out any hope.

    2.   17. One thing I always do as well is save screenshots of the entire order process and make a video of it, which would be a smart thing for consumers to do as well, although probably not very practical.

    That way a company can’t claim that an order process was a certain way, when in fact they have changed it after receiving complaints.

    I was able to provide documentation to the FTC in one of the recent Operation ShortChange cases where a company tried to do that. They were pulling off fake testimonials, but as usual I had saved them.

    The funny thing is that company sent me a cease and desist which always encourages me to work with law enforcement much more quickly and provide them with all the documentation I’ve collected.

The apparent time-locked website, stalled customer service (have not been successful twice for two hours each), the fine print that makes it clear that you will be charged recurrently every monthl and the inability to communicate via email (which provides sure-fire documentation) all demonstrate a scheme to simply (and through legal loopholes) swindle you of your money through a get-rich HOOK. I abhor illegimitate businesses that rely on these kinds of ‘creative’ schemes to profit. I will lobby to get federal regulation to crack down on these people who continue set-up shop under legitimate guises. Bernie Maddoff was their king.
