Page 4 of Question Submissions

This is the place to submit your questions as the forum is officially on hold for now.

I’m in the process of getting a F.A.Q. section installed at WorkAtHomeTruth which will also allow you to submit your questions.

I’ve decided to do this in place of the forum for now as it seemed like the forum was mostly being used for that purpose and I’m MUCH more likely to answer on the blog than in the forum.

You can post your questions here for now until I get the F.A.Q. section set up.

Thanks.

    Hi Paul,
I was about to purchase Michael Browns course but at the checkout page he is offering his Niche Research Commando software.
Do you recommend I purchase this software along with the course?
The course price is $47 and the software is an additional $27.
You don’t mention it in any of your reviews or recommendations on WAHT.
I am a professional web designer and computer consultant, do you think I will need this software. Also, do you think with my web experience that Michael’s product is the best place for me to start
I’ll wait to here back from you before I purchase the niche Blitzkrieg course.
    Thanks for you help.

    • @Soul Hammond: Hi Soul, with your experience you definitely have a lot more options.

One option that immediately comes to mind is for you to pick up a copy of the free ebook at SEOFastStart.com because you may be able to make a go of it just starting with that. You can definitely do the keyword and competitive research without specific tools, but they do speed up the process.

However, again with your background you might be better off starting with a more sophisticated keyword and competitive research tool such as Market Samurai or MicroNicheFinder. Both of those tools have a significant amount of additional functionality such as helping you find public domain material for content based on your keywords, finding affiliate products to promote based on the keywords, and quite a bit more.

Market Samurai is the more powerful of the two, but has a bit of a steeper learning curve. One tip is that (at least in the past) if you sign up for the newsletter after a few days they drop the price down to $97.

There’s a review of Micro Niche Finder here:
      http://store.workathometruth.com/micro-niche-finder-review/

BUT at this point you’d probably be better off searching for a review by someone offering their own bonus.

One last tool I came across recently – and developed by someone I deem trustworthy is a tool called Niche Horde which you can see here:
http://www.nichehorde.com – the concept looks intriguing, but I can’t give you a good opinion on it, because I haven’t tested the tool yet.

@Soul Hammond:yYour website shows a testimomial from a michelle richardson from Stockton calif. Then when I went home to Santa cruz it showed the same testimonial from michele richardson but now she is from Santa cruz???Curious because this blog was all about fake website’s.Can somebody please direct me to someone who can call me and not waste anymore of my time for a real company who can pay me for blogging and not about buying these lame course’s.Hopefully someone with a real testimonial from someone selling their company’s product or service’s cel#209-815-4387

Paul.Im trying to get out of my so called real job and want to try making money online.(Ive been scammed like so many others.)So my question is: Would getting started with marcus campbell (simple sites / Big profits be a good investment for a beginner. He offers personal support for extra money of course. Please advise…Thank you

  3. Shaun says:

    Hi,

Can you confirm if the following site is a scam?
    http://www.wemakeyoucash.com/getstarted

  4. Dale are you saying you already run a blog? Then you should be able to easily find advertisers for your blog.

    How hard can that be?

Seems strange that you don’t know how to do that.

Also, what site of Soul Hammond’s are you talking about? I didn’t see that person posting a site.

Anyhow, sounds like your in the wrong place as you apparently are already a professional blogger.

I have a huge list of fake blogs here:
    http://workathometruth.com/classifieds/category/flogs-exposed/fake-blogs-a-z/
    http://www.workathometruth.com/not-recommended/category/flogs-fake-sites/fake-news-sites/
    http://www.workathometruth.com/blog/2009/06/05/are-fake-news-sites-the-next-gold-rush/

Google is supposed to be banning those so they don’t show up on this site.

Maybe you clicked on an Adsense ad. That doesn’t seem possible since obviously as a professional blogger you would clearly know how to distinguish between an adsense ad and regular content.

  5. chris aka chriscsugaree says:

I think chriscsugaree was the name I was using at the forum. Hey Paul. I joined 4 Day Money Making Blueprint but it was very complicated for me and I felt a bit overwhelmed. I decided to give Niche Blitzkrieg a spin but I just started. While I was googling for ideas for popular niches I found this site http://www.nicheprofitclassroom.com

The first two videos sounded a lot like the info at niche blitzkrieg and their niche word search tool looks like it does much of the work done by Niche Research Commander. But what really piqued my interest was the offer 15 minutes, 50 seconds into the second video. It sort of sounds like for a membership here they do the keyword research and create for you 2 ready made niche businesses each month. (along with support and more)

The offer is no longer $1, now $67 a month when you press the Get Instant Access Now button, but do you think this too good to be true? If they are as good as they claim at finding top search words and high ratings on google and someone joined and got 2 ready made niche businesses each month it would allow someone to start making money from day one while they learned.

The feedback you have given me so far has been honest and helpful so I will await your reply. Paul, is this a genuine and worthwhile investment or just another pipedream?

    chris

    • @chris aka chriscsugaree: Yep, NicheProfitClassroom is good as well. The only reason I haven’t really recommended it here is that most people who come to WorkAtHomeTruth are looking for a less expensive way to start.

You’ll still have to rework some of the site content and work on getting links to your pages. Even though they are doing a lot of the work for you I wouldn’t necessarily count on it being simpler than the 4 Day Money Making Blueprint. Can you tell me what part of that you found complicated? That might give me a better understanding of places you’re getting stuck.

  6. jc from Richmond says:

    Hi Everyone

I saw the ad for make money from home. It sounds really good to start with less than $2 for start up kit.

After I signed up, I found this website.

I am losing sleep trying to reverse my stupid mistake. (Search income pro is the one I joined) in http://www.sipandmm.com/

Can anyone please tell me is this good enough to Cancel??

    Please please help by replying!!!

    Thank you for your reply!!!!

  7. jc from Richmond says:

    Sorry people

Thank you very very much for helping!!!

  8. Jon B says:

I recently respnded to a magagazine ad found in “Small Business Oppor-
tunities”. The ad was in a summer issue, I believe, and I purchased
the same issue again as I was out of town, and wished to review the ad.
The ad stated that one would make a very hefty (not verbatim) income
byby their print being an internet cable/sattellite service provider for a fee of $109.00
+ s/h. The first page of the information that was sent to me by regular
mail stated that there are no refunds ! (exclamation point theirs) due to
the nature of the information, which was contrary to the statement in
the ad. The info did, however, provide me with directions to access the
information I had paid for. Unfortunately, the site that I was directed to does’nt seem to be accessible by my coputer. I think I was ripped off.
Included in the response envelope to my order was a business card from
a person offfering loans, as well as a page about another money-making
program. Can you help me to determine whether I’m just not doing
something right in finding this site, or maybe this site is closed or even
fictitious? This is the seller’s main website, according to the letter:
http://go2-url.com/anrass The letter stated that if I didn’t choose
to set up my own website (which would be necessary if the “you will
have your own active and attractive website” condition had any merit)
then someone with their organization could do that for a certain fee,
and if I wasn’t satisfied with that produced product, then the refund
    policy would apply. Help!

  9. Pete R says:

    Hey Paul,

I’ve been looking into the Postcard Profits program with Luke Jaten at http://www.postcardprofits.com. Have you heard of this program and do you recommend it? I’m a college student studying business management and marketing and i would love to do something on the side of my schooling to make some significant cash monthly to pay for school, etc. I don’t have much experience with any marketing.

  10. Balth says:

Paul, I ordered a product called Google Cash Software. Their billing facilities are located in Mequon, WI. Would you happen to have a contact number for their billing facility so that I may investigate some additional charges? Thank you for any and all help!

    • @Balth: Balth, there are a lot of scammy products using the name such as the following:

      Earn Google Cash Kit
      Make Google Cash
      Make Google Fast Cash
      Easy Google Cash
      Earn Fast Cash With Google
      Google Cash Kit

(and that’s just a small sample).

So it’s hard to know which one you mean – i don’t see one with billing facilities in Mequon. Can you tell me what the code says next to your charge on your billing account.

      • Balth says:

        @Paul (Founder, WorkAtHomeTruth):
Thank you for your previous response, Paul. The complete information available to me for the charge is as follows:

        Terminal Number: 425477
Terminal address: GOOGLE CASH SOFTWARE MEQUON WI USA
        Merchant category code: 7372
        MCC description: COMP PROGING/DATA PROCESSING

I was told that the product was ordered through this website. However, I see that there are no products offered directly though this site – there are just external links. I am trying to find some point of contact for this company who seems to be unpublished on the internet. Again, any and all help is appreciated. Thanks, Paul.

  11. Fran says:

Hi. My question ia about Ambit Energy. I have NO type of experience with a home based business and and really skeptical about spending money on any program that I can’t get independant confirmation about their program. It is $429 to start up and for me that’s a lot of money. Do you know anything about this company?
Thank you for any help you can give me.

  12. Fran says:

    Thanks Paul

  13. MPotokar says:

Someone posted an earlier question asking whether or not these checks from Google posted on many of these sites are legit or not. My answer is NO! As a computer programmer and an Acrobat forms design/developer, I can tell you this: one can literally take a scanned copy of any check and literally change all the information on it to make it look authentic. Same can be said for websites. Also notice that the name of the recipient, i.e., the payable to, on the check is usually, if not always, blanked out. Trust me, these people will go to Great Lengths in an attempt to sell you anything for a BUCK! Bottom line, if it looks to good to be true, it is.

  14. Michael says:

Hi, I am brand new to this sort of thing, but I’m going to try a few of your top ten recommendations. I’m thinking of starting with project quick cash, followed by mega classified millions, then niche blitzkrieg. But before I buy any of them, I would just like to know if the results will still reflect the claims made by the sites or if they will be less due to over-use. Also, might there be any changes made to the processes used to make money so the info I buy might be out of date? If you think all is ok, I will get them and leave you some feedback for other newbies like myself.

Thank you so much for your time and your wonderful website.

    • @Michael: Michael, good question. In fact I’m re-evaluating Project QuickCash for that very reason. However, MegaClassified and Niche Blitzkrieg are still fine and will be for a long, long time, because they are based on fundamental principles.

Project QuickCash can still be good for someone who can think outside the box and apply its techniques in areas outside of what it teaches specifically. But I’m losing confidence that it’s still a good place for someone new to start.

  15. Michael says:

Your timing could not be better!! Thank you for such a speedy response! I was literally just about to dive in and chance it with project quick cash first! I might just buy megaclassified first. My first goal is to build a £400 p/m income. Is that doable with megaclassified? I need the quickest really. I’ll be working on it full time. At least 5 hours a day.

    Thanks again Paul!

  16. Jayson P says:

Hello, I too am having billing issues, just like ‘Balth’ is, from MEQUON.
All that shows on my credit card statement is GOOGLE CASH SOFTWARE — MEQUON.

I thought that these were from Chris Carpenter, but then again, I thought he had a very good reputation, and I like the guy, so I’m not sure if these are his or not.

Any idea how I can get my 253.88 back from GOOGLE CASH SOFTWARE — MEQUON? I tried googling it; that’s how I found this thread, with the posts from Balth.

I do remember signing up for the Google Cash Detective software trial from Chris Carpenter, and his Google Cash 3rd Edition ebook, but like I said, I thought he is highly reputable & respected, so it’s possible that the GOOGLE CASH SOFTWARE — MEQUON charges are from Chris Carpenter, but it just would be extremely shocking if they are from him specifically.

    Any thoughts please?

    Thank-you,
    JP

    Dear Paul,
I was wondering if you can tell me if Dana Glover’s Postcard Superstars is for real, or if it is another scam. I searched your site and didn’t find it, so thought I would ask.
Thank you for your time, and all of us you help with your site.

  20. Ann Thompson says:

    Hi,
This is for Michael. On 1/22/10, I used PayPal to buy Mega Classified Millions. PayPal said it would take a few days to process payment, but my bank account stiil hasn’t been charged. Wondering if you received a copy of the order? I know I’ll probably need to contact PayPal to find out status, but thought I’d check with you, first.

Thanks (and, also, for the wonderful support you provide newbies).

    Ann

  21. Christoper says:

I checked out Niche Blitzkrieg and tried to ask a question before I made a purchase. The question was how will this system help me if I have no product to market? Does the program show you products to market or not?

    • @Christoper: Hi Christopher.

Niche Blitzkrieg won’t tell you what products to market, but it will show you how to do research to find good products to market where you can get paid a commission for marketing the product – and how to generate income from advertising that is automatically placed on your blogs – and yes, it teaches you an easy way to set up your blogs as well.

Let me know if you have other questions. How long did you wait for your response? Let me know and I’ll ask Michael about it.

  22. Karen says:

    Hi,
Thanks for all the great information on your site. Do you recommend starting with Niche Blitzkrieg and Mega Classified Millions at the same time, or should I choose one to begin with? What are the differences between the two programs? Do either of them involve starting and maintaining websites with lead generators and auto responders? If so, what are the fees? And lastly, as for having a blog-would I be writing stuff on different topics, or what does it entail to have a blog? Thanks a lot for your time,
    Karen

    • @Karen: Hi Karen,

The ongoing fees for Niche Blitzkrieg are covered here:
      Niche Blitzkrieg Mini Review.

There is an optional keyword tool that is $27.00, which you can start without, but does speed up research time.

MegaClassified has ongoing costs of $9.95/month as one of the classified sites it covers it USFreeAds – and you really need the premium version at $9.95/month for the system to be effective.

Many of the strategies in Niche Blitzkrieg and Mega Classified Millions are very similar. The big difference is that in Niche Blitzkrieg you are building blogs and getting them ranked in the search engines – and in Mega Classified Millions you are writing ads and getting your ads ranked in the search engines.

You can do both without using autoresponders, although you might want to add them in later – although many people never add them in at all.

If you have a blog you will be writing on different topics. I suppose that’s another way that Mega is different as it’s typically easier to write ads than it is to write blog posts.

    Hi Paul,
I am looking to purchase the Niche Blitzkrieg System ith the Niche Commando.
I am curious, is there any shipping costs, none are mentioned?
I am the one from Atlantic Canada that you commented on this page

    Thanks for the help,

What do you know about “postcard superstars” ? are they a legit business?

  25. jayne says:

Hi Paul, i will never be greatful enough for the wealth of info i have gained from your site.I want to purchase Niche Blitzkrieg and eventually Mega Classified Millions but i wrote to Michael a couple of days ago and he hasn’t replied my email yet. My concerns were: will i be able to benefit from them if my country is not on clickbank list yet? your quick response will be very much appreciated.

  26. Jayne,

For some reason I never received your email. Not sure what happened there but from time to time that happens with email.

Paul pointed this out to me – so I’ll answer that here.

You do not need Clickbank to make money with Niche Blitzkrieg or Mega Classified Millions.

In fact, we don’t really talk much about Clickbank we talk about other ways to make money. Clickbank is an option that could be used – but I do not specifically have information on that company in these 2 courses.

If you need anything else send me a ticket at http://www.michaelbrownsupport.com as that is the fastest way to get something to me.

    Thanks,

    Michael Brown

Thanks Michael for your reply. Am ganna be purchasing Niche Blitzkrieg in a couple of hours…

  28. Diana says:

    Paul,
I saw on Oct. 17, ’08 you recommended Kindle Profits Exposed. Now it is Feb. ’10. Do you still consider this a good way to earn residual money? Some opportunities taper off over time…do you think this is something that will last long term? Would it still be something worthwhile to start?

  29. Diana,

I am too far out of the loop on that one right now, because I don’t know how the new iPad will affect kindle sales.

I will look into that more this weekend and post something here.

  30. Joe says:

I saw a television commercial for http://www.88homeoffice.com while watching a college basketball game. I went to the site and saw that they want me to buy a kit to learn a home business. The kit is only $10 but is this just the start of spending more and more to learn very little? I tried searching your site for any info on 88homeoffice but came up empty. Any help you can offer is much appreciated.

    • @Joe: The offer is run by a company called LG Technologies which is a lead-generation company. But there’s no way of me knowing what company the “kit” is a lead generation offer for – so there’s no way for me to provide an opinion on the quality of the actual program that this kit is a lead gen for.

Also the kit isn’t actually only $10.00 if you read the terms and conditions which say:

“* I understand that I will be charged $9.95 in Shipping & Handling to receive the kit. I understand that I will be granted a 14-day grace period in which to review this material and choose to keep the kit or to return it. If I do not return the kit within 14 days, I will be charged an additional $39.95 on my credit card to cover the full price of the materials. I understand that I may request a refund of $39.95 for the entire kit for up to 90 days risk free, however, the Shipping & Handling charge of $9.95 will not be refunded.

In addition to the other terms and conditions, you understand that you are hereby authorizing a sales representative to contact you by telephone that may leave a prerecorded message. In addition you are requesting to purchase a product without signing or otherwise executing any additional agreements or other legal documents. Further, you are stating a willingness to be contacted by that sales representative and that such contact may be delivered via a prerecorded message. Finally, you understand that your telephone number and electronic signature will be delivered to an authorized sales representative for the purpose of making such contact.”

Hi Everyone, I just felt the need to try and reassure anyone looking into the Niche Blitzkrieg System that it’s been a week since I have purchased it and I am thoroughly pleased with the service and support I have received from Michael & John @ NBK and Paul here at workathometruth.
This is what they say it is and yes a bit of work, I haven’t made any money yet but I’m certain I will.
THIS IS NOT a get rich by doing nothing scam, but in fact a legitimate, here’s what you pay and here’s what you get and here’s what to do with what you get, course. I think well worth the money even if you don’t make any with it.

  40. Si says:

Hello, I am realatively new to the internet and have been “surfing” aroound. Many ads”pop-up”, and some entice you to “make money by taking on-line surveys” – you supply an e-mail (no credit cards – I’m old school or naturally untrusting, I would sooner go down to the store and get them to order what I need!) This question may not have anything to do with what your Web site is about, (I did stumble upon it!) – Here’s the question: Are these on-line surveys for cash legitimate? How do you actually get paid? (they are vague), What type of expectation of privacy do you have? Is ther potential for identity theft? I looked on snopes, but could not find anything… hope you can help, thanks in advance.

    • @Si: Si, I don’t deal with paid surveys here as they typically are a waste of time for people. You do have to be careful that you find legitimate market research sites. There are many sites that pretend they are market research sites which actually are not.

I would recommend you visit Survey Police if this is something you’re interested in.

  41. Si says:

Thank-you very much, a very useful site!

Kind of sad that legitimate companies trying to succeed using the internet have such a competitive fight with the “less-legitimate” companies that are only leeching on un-suspecting customers, and provide no srevice of value.

I am so glad I stumbled across your site and will continue to educate myself through it!

    Caveat emptor…Caveat venditor

  42. Phil Kanaby says:

Hello Paul. I am a co-founder of PocketCents, Inc.. We are looking to kickstart an affiliate program this year for our PPC local advertising network and I am doing research on scams in order to avoid looking like one. We already know not to have multiple levels of commission (looks like a pyramid) and to make sure there’s no set-up fee (scam), but we are looking for an opinion on if we should handle affiliate accounts ourselves to provide better tracking of results (and more flexibility like recurring monthly sales), or let companies like ClickBank handle it so we dont look like a scam to our customers. We want to grow a work-at-home sales force and offer our entire advertising budget (10% of all sales) as commission instead of spending on marketing ourselves. We feel this will be the fastest way to get the word out about our affordable service and compete against the other online advertising giants. Affiliates would also be able to use our network to promote their other commission based products/services as well so everyone can win. What do you think?

    • @Phil Kanaby: Phil, definitely staying away from multi-tier if you want to be mainstream is a good idea.

When you say 10% of all sales, do you mean 10% of the amount clients spend on PPC advertising? If so, you wouldn’t be able to do that through ClickBank as you would need fixed pricing to work thru Clickbank.

  43. Phil Kanaby says:

Paul, yes, we were hoping to give away 10% of all initial and recurring sales each month for every referred advertiser… I guess that is a pretty big down side to using ClickBank unless we somehow kept track of the referral ID and placed it on all payment links to send the users back to the apporpriate affiliate landing page… Might seem strange to go back to a landing page each time to make a payment, though, so I’m guessing we are stuck handling it ourselves. Thank you for the input!

  47. LEB says:

    hi there,
newby here inquiring about affiliate marketing … what do you think of Wealthy Affiliate University aka Wealthy Affiliate Platinum? I see mixed reviews on the net, mostly good, but I’m still skeptical. I just want to know if it’s something where one would make good earnings and how legit are they? Especially when there are no last names to Kyle and Carson… do you find this odd?
    thank you

    • @LEB: Wealthy Affiliate has traditionally been very good. I’ve heard some rumors that their support has fallen off, but I have no idea how true those are.

My main concern with Wealthy Affiliate for a newbie is that it has so much information that it can be kind of overwhelming.

Hi…Does anyone know of a legitimate work at home website that is for real?

    Hi Paul,

I am looking for a good copywriting course. I saw the one John Carlton offered but it was too expensive for my pocket. I did see what looked like a good one, called Michael Materson’s Accelerated Program. This was much more reasonable for me.
Do you have any info on this, or perhaps do you know of any others?

    • @Roma: I haven’t personally read through Michael Masterson’s. I would generally trust MichelFortin.com with what he recommends.

Also, I think you’ll almost unanimously find John Caple’s Tested Advertising Method’s recommended which you can typically pick up for about $10. Don’t let the price or age of it dissuade you.
