Fake News Sites Move to Yahoo – Sort of…
Yahoo Is Hiring...For Google...?
I literally just stumbled onto a fake news site called News33Show.com while searching for a list of national newspapers broken down by city. The first thing I noticed of course was the headline:
"Breaking News: Yahoo Now Hiring People To Work From Home
Yahoo is Set To Hire A Group Of Americans To Work From Home In The Next Few Days. Thousands Of Jobs Available, Anyone Can Apply."
And a recommendation of a product called "Easy Google Profit".
It appears that this fake news site affiliate is scared enough of the recent Google Lawsuit to have changed his landing page – although once you clickthrough on the Easy Yahoo Profit link you end up on a site called InternetRichGuru.com has a name similar (but not the same) to another site I wrote up yesterday in the Not Recommended section here:
InternetRichesGuru.com – Not Recommended
I also learned how to report invalid Verisign Seal from a (the?) Verisign Marketing Coordinator who posted this comment:
"If you encountered a VeriSign Secured® Seal that is used incorrectly, please report it to VeriSign using this form.
https://www.verisign.com/support/contact/secure-site-seal-abuse/index.html"
So why is this fake news only "sort of" moving to promoting Yahoo?…Because the actual offer it promotes claims to teach how to make money with Google.
I'm going to go ahead and publish this post "as is" – but hope to be able to update it more tomorrow.
Oh, and here's a few more fake news sites that I hadn't seen before to enjoy:

This url popped up while my wife was doing a web search for jobs. She thought that it being yahoo and all, that it was legit. It said it needed her to pay 1.29 by credit card to ship her a get started package. Instead, it charged our banking account 129 dollars. I went back to the url and low and behold i got the 404 does not exist message. BEWARE!

Hi,
crazy thing is i nearly signed up for it!!
I then tried to get a contact number to call them, a rep with automatic message replies popped up. I asked for a helpline number, and they rediverted me to the 404 page.
Cant believe i nearly put my details in! SCARY!
