Complete Home Profit System sales process review

Complete Home Profit System is a product that is currently being promoted by the website News 6 Alerts – an advertorial style website, although with some unusual elements. The following is a video walkthrough of the sales process from the News 6 Alert website through the CompleteHomeProfitSystem.com order process.

There are some important issues with the full sales process which I explain below the video:

Here are some of the issues I see:

News 6 Alert website:

  • Uses a logo that states: “As Seen On MSNBC, ABC, USAToday, BBC, CNN” What could that possibly mean? That their fake news story was seen on MSNBC, ABC, USAToday, BBC, and CNN? It makes no sense.
  • Also, it seems like the comments shown in the comments are of News 6 Alert are fake since many people have seen those same types of – or even exact same comments on other sites as well. What does it mean to have fake comments within an advertorial?

Complete Home Profit System order process:

  • The Verisign logo on the CompleteHomeProfitSystem site is non-clickable.
  • The GeoTrust logo on the CompleteHomeProfitSystem site is non-clickable.
  • The TRUSTe logo on the Complete Home Profit System site is non-clickable
  • The HackerSafe (a logo from McAfee Secure) logo on the CompleteHomeProfitSystem.com site is non-clickable
  • The check box next to “I agree to the terms and conditions” is prechecked
  • None of the words in the “I agree to the terms and conditions” phrase are hyperlinked (i.e. to the actual terms and conditions)
  • The only statement about charges on the order page of CompleteHomeProfitSystem states “By placing my order I agree to the Terms of Offer, which explain this order includes the above for just a $0.99 activation fee. If you enjoy the 3 day trial and continue your path to making money you will be enrolled into our full program. View the full details of this offer by clicking the terms and conditions link at the bottom of this page. Customer support: (877) 565-2165.”
  • The actual Terms – which you have to scroll down the page to find, click on the terms, and then scroll down 3 long paragraphs to find state: “During your trial If you find that the services and programs offered on this website is not right for you, simply call our Customer Service Center at 877-565-2165 to cancel before the end of your three-day trial period and you will not be charged anything beyond the trial cost. Your three-day trial period begins the day when you place your order. If you do not cancel before the end of your three-day trial period, subsequently we will charge to your debit or credit card a one-time non-refundable join fee of $128.86. To ensure all trial users are serious consumers and are able to meet the required financial obligations should they continue with the program beyond the trial, we will at the time of your trial purchase preauthorize your credit or debit card in the amount of the one time join fee, however this preauthorization will not be settled should you cancel your trial during the allotted period.”

Note: Infinity Education Solutions is listed in the Terms and Conditions

Omgili Buzz Graphs

From Omgili:

“Omgili Buzz Graphs let you measure and compare the Buzz of any term. The Buzz is the percentage of the term out of the total number of discussions Omgili covered on a specific date. You can also embed the Buzz Graph inside any web-page and monitor the buzz on a daily basis.”

Here’s an interesting use of Omgili Buzz Graphs to see the relative complaint between 3 different types of injuries:

  • “I hurt my knee”
  • “I hurt my back”
  • “I sprained my ankle”

This is just a quick example, there may be additional steps you’d want to take first before assuming that comparative results from these terms are accurate. For example, you’ll need to make sure that you identify the most common way or ways people complain about various types of injuries.

For example, I would have thought the phrase “I sprained my ankle” would have more discussion than “I hurt my ankle”, but according to the Omgili Buzz graph that isn’t the case.

I’m not a statistician so I can’t tell you if the results you get from these searches are statistically significant, but it would seem that they come from a pretty hefty sample of data. Here’s what Omgili says about itself:

Omgili is a “vertical search engine that scans millions of online discussions worldwide in over 100,000 boards, forums and other discussion based resources. Omgili knows to analyze and differentiate between discussion entities such as topic, title, replies and discussion date.”
