The Automated Profit Package sales page has the look and feel of a lot of other questionable sites that WorkAtHomeTruth has reviewed in the past. But while that may be a clue that Automated Profit Package might be worth avoiding I try to look for other potential red flags before making a final decision.
Update: AutomatedProfitPackage.com Now Redirects To The Following Two Sites:
- Automated Home Jobs – Click here for information about AutomatedHomeJobs.com
- Auto Pilot Home Profits – Click here for information about AutopilotHomeProfits.com
Update 5/31/2011: There is a new site called Home Wealth Solution which looks VERY similar to those sites.
9/3/2011 Update – The NEWEST version can be found here: Online Income Solution review.
The first page of the Automated Profit Package site presents another BIG RED FLAG right off the bat. It is using a “TRUSTe” privacy certificate – but the certificate on the AutomatedProfitPackage.com website is NOT clickable.
Not only that, but for some strange reason AutomatedProfitPackage displays the following URL on the first page:
NOT secure URL at AutomatedProfitPackage.com
The AutomatedProfitPackage.com page puts the word “secure” in the URL even though the page is NOT secure. A secure page will always have https:// at the beginning of it’s URL like the following:
Google secure earch
Automated Profit Package uses questionable testimonial photos
Right now AutomatedProfitPackage shows 3 testimonials. Each photo can be found on iStockPhoto:
- Click here to see the stock photo AutomatedProfitPackage.com uses for “James W.”
- Click here to see the stock photo AutomatedProfitPackage.com uses for “Albert B.”
- Click here to see the stock photo AutomatedProfitPackage.com uses for “Isabel G.”
What sites like Automated Profit Package often do once their stock photos are exposed
Once a site like AutomatedProfitPackage has their stock photos exposed they often start using a disclaimer which says something like the following:
“For purpose of privacy, testimonial pictures have been adapted and are not their actual photos.”
Automated Profit Package makes a questionable “As Seen On” claim using an image like this:
Automated Profit Package "As Seen On"?
Now, I suppose Automated Profit Package may have “been seen on” these sites if it BOUGHT advertising on them. If so, then it should make the claim “As Advertised On” – not “As Seen On” CNBC, USA Today, abc, Twitter, CNN, and AOL.
Bizarrely, AutomatedProfitPackage.com put’s an asterisk next to “AS SEEN ON” but there is nothing that the asterisk references.
Actually the site also puts an asterisk by $379 and never references that asterisk either. I guess someone was just asterisk-happy that day.
Automated Profit Package claims that it was “Voted #1″ by Entrepreneur Magazine
I’m going to go out on a limb here and propose that Automated Profit Package probably was NEVER “Voted #1″ by Entrepreneur Magazine or any other respectable business magazine for that matter – although AutomatedProfitPackage.com actually doesn’t say WHAT it claims to be voted #1 for – so I suppose if it was “Voted #1″ product to AVOID maybe it could be true.
Potential relationship between AutomatedProfitPackage and the Top-10-WorkFromHome.com “review site”
Of possible interest is the fact that Top-10-WorkFromHome.com recommends AutomatedProfitPackage as it’s “#1″ pick AND both AutomatedProfitPackage and Top-10-WorkFromHome.com are hosted on the same IP with only 3 other sites as you can see below:
Reverse IP Automated Traffic Package
Why is that important? Because often when there are a limited number of websites on the same IP address, it can be an indicator that the websites are owned by the same company or person.
luckily i did a scan on my computer the other day,and it flashed this one up.Cheers for the warning.
James
Hello
I am one of the people who is helping to run AutomatedProfitPackage that you mention in this email.
Normally I would just ignore this type of thing, but I felt that I should reply with a couple of points on this.
AutomatedProfitPackage has no rebill. Its $4.97, one-time-fee. We don’t bill them again 3,5,7, 14 or any amount of time down the road (unlike what you seem to be promoting – http://store.workathometruth.com/top-recommended.php, which hides a $60 rebill…)
[Note from WorkAtHomeTruth]: There is NO “Hidden” $60 Rebill – Why is this person going out of his way to LIE about this?]
A lot of work has gone into the backend of this product, and we also provide full, 24/7 support – with all tickets being replied to within 30 minutes usually.
The reason that, as you correctly state, people are spending a lot of money advertising this is that we pay our affiliates well. We have a good conversion rate, and a very low refund rate – because the product is good – so it makes sense to them to push this.
http://secure.automatedprofitpackage.com/
@D Sharpe: D. First of all, I should be up front with you and let you know that I directly provided extensive documentation to a Senior Litigator at the FTC in the In Deep Services case and was asked to testify in that case via signed affidivat and that I recently provided extensive documentation about an extensive internet crime network to federal law enforcement via an organization that works with an assigned federal agent.
I also helped 20/20 with a story on Work At Home scams one of which also was taken down in Operation Shortchange and one of my warnings was used by the National Consumers’ League write up here
…so it’s important for me to bring out questionable aspects of sites such as AutomatedProfitPackage such as:
… NONE of which you’ve bothered to address.
A tip for anyone else – always save ALL copies of ALL pages of any sites you deem potentially questionable and take videos using Camtasia, Jing, or ScreenToaster if possible.
Instead you allege there is a “hidden” rebill on a product which you FULLY know isn’t true at all. In fact, the MAIN case I helped the FTC on concerned hidden rebills AND one of the top 100 spammers in the world according to the ROSKO database.
You also make a very strange statement that “You pay your affiliates well” yet also state that there are no other charges other than the $4.97 charge.
Also, why is there NO contact information on your site, not even in the legal documents?
Im sorry D shape, but if AutomatedProfitPackage pays what it says it does, why dont you just make a discount of $4.97 on their first paymeny, so people dont have to give their money away to what it seems to be a scam.
And about the testimonials why aren’t we allowed to post our questions, or a complain if necesary in the testimonial page, i mean all testimonials are possitive towards AutomatedProfitPackage, and shure if you email a complain it may never be published because it is reviewed by the owner.
And asi in the page says this opinion may not reflect a fact but it shures does a honest opinion, and this page is not responsable for it, neither am I. And “We cannot completely verify statements in testimonials. Also, while the testimonial may be accurate as of the time that we hear from the customer, the customer’s experience may have significantly changed over time. While we will try to update our information on the customer providing the testimonial, we cannot assure you that our information will be up to date.” Because this may or may not be the owner of this Laptop. Your disclamer is a disgrace in my personal opinion.
Sry i forgot, Thanks for your effort Paul (Founder, WorkAtHomeTruth), i’m personally really gratefull for your work so keep it up.
Sry if i misspell English is my second lenguage.
And thanks again.
you are joking it is a con to get more and moremoney out of you ,they state no quibble refund ,what a laugh as when they messed me about and i said i would have to seek my refund their exact words back were good luck bye.so you aint fooling anyone mate
Hi there,
I’ve recently purchased the automated profit package and I have so many questions on what to do and how it works and why there is no sales etc??
So I used the support system and nothing happens. Till today no one has replied to me or answered any of my questions. I’ve logged in several qeuries and complaints and nothing. They say you have to wait for 48hours max and I telling you I am still waiting for a reply.
So yeah I’m starting to think it might be a scam.
I have also been a fool and purchased automated profit package and I totally got questions and no one has got back to me and as we speak have emailed them for my refund. I see they don’t have any phone number to talk to a live person. I think I was scammed also.
Update: I went back to the site and the one-time fee for Automated Profit Package is $9.97 (note, that may be the result of split-testing).
Also, “D. Sharpe” maybe you’d like to explain why AutomatedProfitPackage is hosted on the same IP as top-10-workfromhome.com with only 3 other sites hosted there with top-10-workfromhome.com presenting “AutomatedProfiPackage” as it’s #1 pick?
By the way, do you know a guy by the name of Chris James over in the UK?
Paul, you are exactly right about Entrepreneur – they don’t vote on anything, but they do provide rankings. The lower down in the category, the more dubious the rankings.
For example, WSI is constantly touted as best internet franchise company. And yet, when has anyone from WSI ever been a speaker at SES, SMX, etc.
@michael webster: That’s interesting information about WSI – I’ve never really been able to understand what purpose they really serve.
I am not sure what your web site is trying to say. Are you a good samaritan who, at his own expense, tries to protect people from work at home scams or are you a facility for all those who wish to place a comment?
Either way, there are so many dishonest people around that I will be very hard put to believe anyone let alone those who protest their honesty. It is a funny thing, but I cannot recall anyone trying to influence me by saying, “Oh, by the way, I am a crook and if given half a chance I will take you for as much cash as you are foolish enough to give me.”
Maybe, I am wrong but right now I do not trust anyone, even myself! Such are the wonders of the internet!
@Kenneth Fontana: Kenneth, one thing I’ve learned in life is to just DO what I think is right and forget what anyone else thinks.
It makes life MUCH simpler.
Obviously it would be WAY easier to make money just by NOT doing any of this. Anyone who understands online business would immediately KNOW that.
But I do agree that sometimes it’s hard to keep myself in check when I see sites using questionable sales tactics and using stock photos for testimonials. The D. Sharpe even offered to give me free access to view the product and I explained to him that there’s no way I could recommend it unless he could explain all of the problems I’ve identified with the sales process – I never heard back from him.
Yes, I spent hundreds of hours of my time helping people for free to avoid scams or recover money – but in the end I can’t really say if it’s worth it because it seems that SO MANY of those people just run out and buy into the same ol’ scams again.
@Paul (Founder, WorkAtHomeTruth): I found Paul’s site almost a year ago and subscribed to his email list and I can tell you with all honesty I have never regretted it. He does his homework and his site reviews are very comprehensive, listing red flags and reasons for suspecting a site. If you read his blog, which is extensive, you will find he rarely leaves a stone unturned. I am a budding internet marketer and his emails are among the first I open. I value his opinion, I have never had a reason to suspect he has an ulterior motive. I respect what he is doing and although I will probably never meet him or talk with him one on one, someday, even if its virtual, I’d like to shake his hand and give him an “attaboy”.
Thanks, Richard
I really appreciate it.
paul can i ask exactly why you do all this work for free so that people like myself can avoid being scammed ?
@James: James, actually if you look at the history of the blog you’ll see that I don’t do as much of it any more.
Initially I was doing it to help people, but over time it really became more that just became interested (or maybe obsessed) in how to reverse engineer what people were doing and making connections between various people, sites, and companies.
The reason I do less of it now is because I was letting my other sites and projects falter and really need to put more time into them.
However, something like this Automated Profit Package is extremely easy to put up so it doesn’t take away too much time. Some analysis of other networks of sites has involved over 300 sites and multiple companies and d.b.a.s
Ultimately, I’ll likely apply similar skills to the arena of business intelligence.
And before you think that I’m just going to abandone all of this – I’m not. What I’m going to do is automated more of the data collection through the use of tools like Maltego and UbotStudio as well as many others.
@james: Paul and I do the same thing: we have learned to spot frauds quickly, and so it doesn’t take much of our time, anymore, to shoot up a warning signal.
ok thanks,I think it is a good Karma thing that you are doing and it is appreciated, thanks again
Thanks, James
I believe this looks like another one of those nasty fake websites that will steal money from you.
Good post. These kind of sites and services will always be a waste of time as there is no way someone can make alot of money using some method that has been spread to thousands of people. Probably not even 20. There’s alot of good example of this around, business models that make alot of money in the beginning then someone starts a similar business and pushes the prices down…
im no big time marketer or scam spotter frankley i can barley even spell but paul i just wanted to say to you thanks for saving me ten bucks i realy apreciate it and that im going to check your blogs from now on if i ever have any doubts. =] good day to you sir.
ps i always wondered how does it feel to help big time to take down scammers with the fbi and such. preety cool huh lol well i hope u have urself a good a prosperous day paul until next time.
@D unknown: D, as you’ve probably figured out Lynndel – the person I’ve provided documentation through is only allowed to say that he works with “an assigned federal agent” and isn’t allowed to name the specific agency.
However, I have to say that I’m just fascinated by how all the pieces can be connected. Don’t get me wrong. I like helping people, but at the core the reason I keep doing it is because I find it amazingly interesting.
so is that website a scam or what because i don’t know if i’m soppost to pay those 10.00 or to stay away. please help me out.
@William: That’s up to you to decide William based on research you do here and elsewhere.
hi there,
I was reading about the article posted by Anthony D. Cataldo on News 11 today about a mom making over $300 us at day, so I decided to find out more about this person and it was not a surprise that his name is related to all kind of scams by using google, here is one of the many links I found http://www.ripoffreport.com/internet-fraud/anthony-d-cataldo-ne/anthony-d-cataldo-news6inside-385eb.htm
I’ve put up a second post about Automated Profit Package here:
Automated Profit Package and video testimonials
Automated Profit Package sales page review [email removed]
Automated Profit Package sales page review abner@comemail.net
wow .i wish i’d found this earlier.or knew what to look for.luckily i only lost $20 for the signup.i had a look at the website i purchased from homewebsitecenter.com(www.eliteweightlosspackage.com).so simple .only 3 tabs.no detailed contact info.product for sale @$49.95.then i found another site exactly the same in every detail except the product on this site was $19.95.only then did the bells start ringing.i did a dummy purchase on both sites to see where the money would go.my details never came up on either one as the setup said it would.an e-mail came up on one of them and looked so fake/madeup.all i could do after that was change all my passwords and report all details to paypal.which they must be use to as they had all the facilities/apps for reporting such acts.
thank you man
i was about to cash , but that article saved me
Me too! Good thing I did a research first before I signed up! That article was so believable!
Thankyou to everyone who has written on this site, it has given some valuable information to all who bother to look for it. I was very close to handing over my money, but luckily did not.
Paul, thankyou for putting the time and effort into this site.
Thanks Chris,
I’ve seen quite a few instances of this where people are helping others to avoid losing their hard earned money. Glad you found this page before handing over your money to them.
hi,
i am sorry to bother you. but seems like i’ve already fell into the scheme and has already pay 2OOUS without any progress with any of my websites… that’s why i decided to check the credibility of the website and it does seen like a huge scam which is totally a huge dissapointment… i am still a student and ill really appreciate if you can tell me any way to get my money back.
sorry to bother you, and excuse my grammar cause english is not my first language…
i hope everything go well in your life and i do appreciate very much what you do for helping others and if there’s any way i can help. plz let me know^ ^
thnx

i hope som body stop them
thnx
i got the links to AutomatedProfitPackage site from reading http://www.news11today.net/finance/latest-news.php?ex=003
so the weird thing about the news11today.net site is if you click the tabs (any tabs eg.Home,Sports,Entertainment…etc) and the clickable pics and links it will just send me to AutomatedProfitPackage site so that itself just so obviously a fake news portal site thats obviously made by the same person who create AutomatedProfitPackage site and so long story short AutomatedProfitPackage is fake and a Con Site!! and as i google the AutomatedProfitPackage i landed in here and thanks the creator of this site for warning people about con sites like this.
Abang Sarawak
So this in scam right? i never believed in those things, but this one is really atractive..thank god i read this.
By the way, i’m from Portugal…at the other side of the world..
Thanx Paul,
please put me on your newsletter list?
Before making a “rash” in-the-moment purchase I always google the product and review, and in this case your site came up on pg 1.
Pays to do some research first to see if there is value (or not).
Thanks for everyone who makes this blog. Just I escaped from losing my money. Good job. keep up doing:)
I looked at a review on this and it must have been done by authors who are paid by the product owners. This is rubbish, Tim Carlson and who ever else own the program are nothing more than affiliates putting a bunch of products together and conning the public to purchase each component and upgrade(the normal program wont work unless you upgrade threats)and they make a bucket in affiliate commissions and you end up with a distorted disfunctional bunch of providers products with no one to blame when the overall results are not forthcoming. This is not an all in one designed product as it is claimed to be and will cost you more than $130.00 to get started, if you want the make website, get traffic and count your money version as they advertise, most of what is advertised is only available if you upgrade and then you still need money for your ppc campaign that pays for your traffic.
Thanks guys……a very near painful experience. But its very educational and really appreciate this site Paul! From just reading through the remarks on your site, I like to believe to have picked few things that would help to deal with such experiences/ situations in the future. Thank you again!
Hello! I’m a single mom and offers like these seem tempting for obvious reasons. I usually check blogs before i buy a product and thats how i found this one. Im having second thoughts and thanks for that, but i really need to know something…are there any REAL work at home oportunities out there? and if there are how could i get to them?…this seems hopeless and the fact is that every program ive checked has negative blog about it. What can i do and which one really get the job done?
Thanks.
I am from Hong Kong.
I think you saved my wallet.
Thank you very much
btw, is there any make money program is not scam in the world?
The program that I’ve received the best feed back about is the one covered in this video.
do you mean this is real ???
do you mean this is real ???
are you sure you mean workathometruth.com site
please tell me and thank you for your help
I wish I had seen this site before. wasted $ 10 on the scam.
Can they get to my Pay Pal account now that I have registered?
Thank you so much Paul for your great work.
There are angels out there just as they are devils. It is all part of the devine play.
may Love, Peace and Honesty prevail.
Kathrin,
Thanks for the kind words.
They can’t get to your PayPal account unless you have given them access somehow.

Hello, sorry for my english but i had just $40 usd buying and i didn`t find this before paying so i suggest not to take it. i think that it is all fake.
Thank God, for people like you. I owe you that 9 dollars you have saved in my purse:)
Hi All,
The site is really a scam.
I clicked an ad and led to the page of newsdaily7.com/ The page looks like a new site but after some browsing it reveals that each and every link goes to secure.automatedprofitpackage.com/ What is this?
TOTAL SCAM. STAY AWAY.
Thanks…that was a close save
I am sure whatever goodness comes to peoples’ path, out there will do everything possible to block it,i wouldn’t mind subscribing if my country Nigeria will be included in the dropdown menu.Carry on Automated Package.
I think the way you’ve expressed yourself may be one of the reasons why Nigeria is considered the scam capital of the world.
Sir Paul,
Take this for granted. No 1-Generalising,didn’t do us a favour, not all Nigerians know what is a scam.No.2 Many of us are not computer literate to know or understand which organisation is a scam or not.No.3 If you are serious in alleviating others suffering like Automated Profit Package, why not invent the most rewarding site like them?
It wasn’t ME who was generalizing you, it was YOUR own attitude that did it. I fully believe there are very good people in Nigeria. But if someone from your country comes and asserts that a program is reputable when clearly it’s not, it’s OBVIOUSLY a reflection on THAT person (YOU), not ME. YOU are the one who has just dug your country deeper into a whole both with your previous post and now with this one.
I can put you in touch with some young people in Nigeria who are really trying to change the perception of your country if you like who are determined to make money online.
hey i already had fallen for the scam and my wallet is 10 bucks short my question is can they keep leeching from my card??
I wouldn’t mind knowing them if truely they mean it.But with sincerety,i don’t have anything whatsoever in my part to claim their credibility,it will be YOU (Americans) who can tell us wether they are one.And if truely they are one,why not American Government block them since they are fighting this scam world over.
In my part, iam not accusing you for anything wrong but rather as somebody who is out there fighting injustice. Please, tell me more about yourself and how to avoid entrapment by these scams online.Sincerely speaking i wish you well.
I’m heading to bed, Sule
I’ll follow up on this tomorrow.
thanks for the warning. i had some doubts but you have helped me make the decision NOT to be scammed by the automated profit package. thanks a mil and keep up the good work.
Glad to hear it.
Like all the above comments, i was about to get fooled by this site, but the search lead me to read your article and the rest of comments.
Thank you, i think anyone that read this will owe you at least the gratefullness.
Best Regards.
Thanks a lot Paul,
but i still need to know is there is any honest alternatives for this site ???
I like the idea of working home, so as an expert what is your advice for me?
I really appreciate your respond.
warmest regards
Rona,
The one at this site that I’ve received the best feedback on is covered in this video
But I’ve also put together a list of OTHER sites run by people I trust here
It is my first time to check this online business
I askmif am I elligible or not
I am from Egypt
Thanks Paul. I have my reservation about AutomatedProfitPackage. I fooled for this type of scam once before and my credit card no.# had been stolen and used. I did the search/research and this leads me to your site. Thanks a million. Internet business does not appeal to me any longer.
Best regards,
Janine
You’re welcome Janine
I just purchased Automated Profit Package 2 days back. After I got in, you have options of upgrading so as to achieve better results. I thought we should have been told, not until we have paid. And as i was hesitating ( you need to pay another USD100++ in order to ‘enjoy the FULL benefits’ & to earn money quickly), I hesitated & thus decided to google to find out more before I part with my hard earned money. Thanks Paul for your blog. It saved me…
Oh yes, another one I tried was ‘Blogging to the bank” about a year back. I was totally lost how to do those things and I sent an email to the ‘owner’ and then a 2nd one when the 1st one wasnt replied. I never ever got a reply. I then gave up working on it because I was really clueless. Perhaps I should warn all of you out there about that system as well.
Thanks Paul & the rest of you who contributed to other useful comments! Oh by the way,Im from Singapore!
Thanks, Grace
I do have a warning up about Blogging To The Bank here:
Blogging To The Bank review of sales tactics and customer feedback. You’ll see what people are saying in the comment section there. Very similar to your own experience.
Thanks for the link! I tried so hard to unsubscribe from Rob Benwell but it just doesnt work too..zzzz & many other marketing systems are just flooding my email. sigh. Everyday im deleting & deleting…
Im gonna try Michael S. Brown’s Niche Blitzkrieg system as it’s the recommended link in your earlier post & saw that you gave your testimonial to it as well on the sales page. I really really hope this is something that works as I work hard on it..
Thanks Paul.
You’re welcome, Grace
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with Michael’s system – not to mention how amazing his support is.
Make sure you DO sign up for the forum when you join.
thx paul for saving me in the last minutes i was about to get scammed but thx god your site saved me i liked the idea of working at home but now i don’t believe that it is the perfect way to earn money even thought i heard it’s possible but right now i don’t think so.
best regards
fatima zahraa from morocco
I was looking at the automaticprofitpackage website thinking it looked pretty legit, however I’m naturally suspicious and decided to do a bit more research. Hence I came across your website and immediately felt glad I didn’t waste any money.
It all makes me think of my parents advice “If something seems to good to be true, it almost certainly is” APP is a clear example of that. Thanks for your good work Paul.
please people …iam so confused about this.I don`t understand is it a true story about “work at home truth” and the easy earning money method and as they say it`s true or it`s just a fake site the steal our money for nothing.
please some one answer me quickly and thank you.
Mr. Colonel,

Hi.. I’m from Mongolia.. I’d like to try it. Can I start it from here… I tried to purchase. In location, there isn’t Mongolia. Or could i just fill it out US or some other countries. Please give me a reply. Tnx
Hello Everyone, Unfortunately i have Paid $19.97 for Automated Profit Package, Instant Access – Special Half-Price Offer! and now I am seeking a refund for several days. I have also sent a request to ClickBank.com to have a refund. Now I keep waiting.
That website is pure garbage and it is questionable how can such website operate. There is nothing about the descriptions of the products on its homepage. Furthermore you can not write any drawbacks on the website. Regarding the authenticity of those people who claim of making big profits are doubtful. In one of its advertisement it was also written that google will make payments. Once the said $19.97 has been paid, you keeping have emails for buying a Pro account and to invest more money in Automated Profit Package. If I have not made a single dollar on this website, it is questionable about the authenticity of the website, its products and those people who claims having made hugs profits.
I can see someone whose name is Corey posted an article dated 9th November 2010, and in this connection I would like to add that I have reduced the $45.95 to about $11 or 12 but since now nothing.
hi, i can’t really believe that i got scammed, well i guess there isn’t anything called easy money, i am not so worried about the money i’ve lost, but im worried that since they have the card numbers of my Debit card. would they try to steal more money of it?
@v: you just mentioned what I was about to say, Exactly there is no such thing as “easy money” & we all have to learn this. otherwise no one would be out there everyday struggling to make a living.
I never heard about this before until I saw the ad in hotmail side bar! I wonder, after reading all this, why isn’t it stopped yet! it uses Google’s name, gets involved in fraud activities since a long time now & still marketing their product!!!!
Who is supposed to stop that!
Great effort Paul, highly appreciated.
Thanks, Farah.
