Of course as the owner of WorkAtHomeTruth.com I was curious to see what the other site WorkAtHome-Truth.com was all about, when it was registered, etc., what products the other site was recommending, etc.

The WorkAtHomeTruth.com domain (the site you're on) was registered on 6-9-2005 as you can see via the image on the left which was taken from the DomainTools.com WhoIS history tool.

The WorkAtHome-Truth.com site on the other hand was registered by a couple different people in 2007 and 2008, expired, and then was registered again on May 15, 2009.

But there are many more aspects of the WorkAtHome-Truth.com site more interesting than the date is was registered.

For example, the "Senior reviewer" at WorkAtHome-Truth.com – "Doug Smith" seems to only recommend work at home programs that are ALSO hosted on the same IP address as his WorkAtHome-Truth.com site.

Why is that important? Because often when there are a limited number of websites on the same IP address, it can be an indicator that the websites are owned by the same company or person.

For example, "Doug Smith's" WorkAtHome-Truth.com site is hosted on IP as you can see in the picture below:

Since some people ask why they should trust the top ten recommended home businesses list at WorkAtHomeTruth versus a site like Best10WorkAtHome.org it seemed like a good time for the first Home Business Reviews Site Showdown.

I suppose the first question that people ask is why a site that calls itself "Best 10 Work At Home" only offers TWO recommendations. At WorkAtHomeTruth the number 10 means something – TEN! As in top 10 recommended home businesses.

But let's forgive Best10WorkAtHome for it's lack of attention to numeric detail and look at the two work at home products it recommends:

So what about Robert Corum's second recommendation at Best10WorkAtHome – MakeMoneyTakingSurveys.org? How does it stack up to the #2 pick on WorkAtHomeTruth's top 10 recommended home business list?

I mean, wouldn't it be a dream if you could make $40 – $60/hour taking surveys? Actually, it probably would be a dream. You MIGHT make $60 for a survey if you're lucky enough to even qualify for the surveys you apply for (a lot of people complain  about wasting time trying to qualify for surveys and never or rarely getting accepted). But you are NOT going to sit around making $60/hour taking surveys.

You'd be lucky to make a few hundred dollars in an entire year taking surveys.
