Matt Levenhagen’s Campaign Blast Challenge 5

This is a Live case study of Matt Levenhagen’s Campaign Blasts Method

Run by Paul Schlegel & Mark P. Quinn

Start Date will be 10/01/2007

End Date will be 11/05/2007

Last Update: 10/20/2007 8:11 PM

This is going to be a bit different than some of the other reviews. What we’ll be doing is putting up Campaigns in Adwords using Matt Levenhagen’s Campaign Blast’s method. We’ll be reporting back on how much money we spent, how many clicks we waited, and how much money we earned here.

Matt Runs something called "Blast Challenges" where a group of people commit to doing a certain number of blasts during a specific period of time. This one is running from 10/01/2007 thorugh 11/05/2007 and there are a group of us commiting to setting up 100 campaigns during that time.

Update: 10/15/2007 9:38 PM – We’ve been incredibly busy with other projects so we’ve decided to commit to setting up the 100 blasts, but without a specific timeframe.

This will be a great post for many of you to follow along with who are interested in making money with adwords as it will give more realistic expectations about success rates and how to think about wins and losses in adwords.

Too many people give up on using adwords because they lose money at first without giving themselves enough of a chance to find the winning campaigns that make it all worth while.

Campaign Blast 1 (10/1/2007 Start Date) – Last Update 10/12/2007 10:28 PM CST

Type of offer: Digital product from ClickBank

Payout: $20.38

Profit: ($39.60)

Comment: 10/04/2007 8:08 PM I thought all keywords had been disabled and set to a min bid of .30 but I was wrong. I’m still getting clicks. I did add some negative keywords like "free", "beginner" as the product is a training course but not for beginners really.

Comment: 10/05/2007 9:50 PM I realized a couple things about this product. One, it’s a product that trains people and there could be kids searching on these words that are less likely to buy the product. Also, it’s not really for beginners. So I put in price and age qualifiers in the Ad. Named the price and stated "Must be 18+ to buy".

Comment: 10/07/2007 11:00 PM No more clicks or impressions since I put the qualifiers in.

Comment: 10/09/2007 2:09 PM – getting some clicks now, but still no sales. Have 63 clicks at this point.

Comment: 10/12/2007 10:28 PM – 154 clicks and still no sales. The Campaign Blasts method is based on running each blast for at least 300 clicks. But this is assuming that you can get the clicks at a price that makes sense. Right now, I’m not able to get the clicks to any lower than 20 cents per click so I’ve paused the campaign and will be working to find lower-cost keywords.

Comment: 10/4/2007 8:15 PM: We went through more clicks than before before making a sale which is probably just the conversion rate leveling off. Still looks like a great campaign, but it’s seeming like we got

Comment: 10/5/2007 9:25 PM: Went through 23 clicks today with no sales – so when i check details will look for any specific keyword or keywords running away with clicks.

Comment: 10/9/2007 2:10 PM: Going to move what I have now over to Yahoo & MSN to see if I can get more leads.

Comment: 10/12/2007 10:22 PM: Getting Clicks on Yahoo now. Very inexpensive so far. I’ll wait till I get more and check the tracking to see if it’s generating leads.

Alex Sysoef’s Web 2.0 Wealth System Review in Progress

We’ve started reviewing Alex Sysoef’s Web 2.0 Wealth System and will keep this post updated as we continue our review.

We’ve heard very good things about this system from people we trust, so we’re excited about being able to give you our perspective on it.

Current Status: Recommended

Based on: Overview of materials and trusted referrals.

Click here to check out our Mini-Review of Alex Sysoef’s Web 2.0 Wealth System.

You can check back here for our progress on our review of Web 2.0 Wealth.

We’ve put in "Entry Dates" so you can see which dates we did what:

(Alex Sysoef’s Web 2.0 Wealth System.)

Download and PreSetUp Instructions for Web 2.0 Wealth

Paul is doing this, so he’ll be finishing up this blog entry…

As soon as I accessed the members area, I noticed that Alex had provided a video tutorial about how to download the various pieces of the system correctly.  I wish more people would follow his cue here. Too often instructions are vague or unclear. Alex’s video makes it nearly impossible to mess up this first and critical step.

The key downloads to the system include instructional videos, the Web 2.0 Wealth Guide and the bloggin platform that i presume we will be using as the primary tool for generating income (I don’t know yet as I’m doing this step by step).

Upon opening the Web 2.0 Wealth Guide i noticed something I thought was incridebly smart. It was the following words:

"The following guide is split into sections with each containing an explanation of WHAT you need to accomplish before moving on to the next one".

I don’t know Alex’s background yet, but this kind of thinking obviously comes from somebody who knows how to teach. Providing checkpoints like this makes it significantly more likely that you’ll stay on the right track and get the system to work for you.

Time spent on this step: About an hour, but I got distracted, so I probably could have done it faster.

Time spent so far: 1 Hour.

(Alex Sysoef’s Web 2.0 Wealth System)

Step 1. of Web 2.0 Wealth – How to Find a Profitable Niche

Ok. There are several ways to do this, so will be interesting to see this system’s take. Obviously I’m not going to give away Alex’s exact methods, but the proof will be in the income that I produce with this system.

I love Alex’s confidence when he states: "My system is designed to force you to earn income in the first week"! Normally I’d run away from someone who claimed that, but I’ve seen too many reviews from people I trust to ignore it. So I’m definitely curious. Of course he stresses this is dependent on you following his steps correctly.

Total time spent on Step 1 so far: 15 mins

Total time spent for all steps so far: 1 hour 15 mins

9/26/2007

OK. I’m going through the part on how to find a profitable niche. Alex provides a 47 page eBook/WorkBook to go through along with some additional insights on one of his blogs.

Right now I’m going through the eBook/Work book compiling a list of potential niches.

I’m still going through the workbook, but after 45 minutes I’m done with the first part of compiling a list of potential niches – so far I just have some pretty broad ideas.

Total time spent on Step 1 far:  60 minutes

Total time spent for all steps so far: 2 hours

9/27/2007

OK. I’m ready to expand my list, so I’ve picked one of my ideas to see if I can find what this eBook calls a "hidden niche".

Within a few minutes I’ve done that and now I’m onto Chapter 7 of this book about finding niches.

After 20 minutes I’m done with Chapter 7. I had to read it a couple of times as it wasn’t clear to me at first what the author meant by "hidden niches". But on the second readthrough it made sense – she just means the niches that aren’t the obvious ones like "dog training","nascar’, etc.

Taking a break and then I’m onto Chapter 8.

Total time spent on Step 1 far:  1 hour 20 minutes

Total time spent for all steps so far: 2 hours & 20 minutes

10/4/2007

Just a quick note to say I’ll be continuing this now. I took a short break to get the Campaign Blasts Case Study going and work more on Cagora.

10/9/2007

Still on track to continue with Web 2.0 Wealth. I went ahead and put up the mini-review in the meantime.

12/1/2007

Live review on hold because of the Cagora launch.
