What are your favorite automation tools?

Another interesting thread from the Warrior Forum:

What are your favorite automation tools

It’s certainly not a new “idea”, but what is new is that it is SO inexpensive these days for the average person to automate tasks these days – and the fact that a business owner can automate tasks that can have a tremendous impact on the bottom line.

If you don’t know what I mean by that, I suggest you read the discussion at the WarriorForum to get in the loop.

Express Backlinks – huh?

Today I learned the term Express Backlinks – apparently I’m not the only one that learned the term Express Backlinks as I checked the Google Keyword tool and it had no data showing for the term Express Backlinks at all.

Anyone who read John Mann’s excellent article about the basics of competitive analysis here will see why I’m not impressed with the example the ExpressBacklinks tool uses to promote itself.

This made me wonder why the software from ExpressBacklinks.net was bragging about how it achieved the #1 position for the term “express backlinks” on it’s sales page. Here’s the screenshot of the demand google shows for the term “express backlinks”:

picture-8

You’ll see that I used “broad match” which will show the MOST possible searches for the term as it includes searches for the term and any other terms including the term even if the two words that make up the term are not contiguous.

Personally, I’d be more excited about ranking for a keyword that at least showed SOME search volume. I’m not saying that the Google Keyword tool is the “be all and end all”, but there are other issues with using the term “express backlinks”.

First I did the most BASIC competitive research search that any good student of SEO will know:

allintitle:”express backlinks” which turned up the following:

kw-allintitle-exact1

Second, I did the same search without the quotation marks:

allintitle:express backlinks and still there were only a measly 188 competitors:

kw-allintitle-broad

Personally, I wouldn’t brag to the entire world about my software based on a term showing no demand and hardly any competition at all. I even checked the top five competitors and they don’t appear to be optimizing for the term Express Backlinks at all (except ExpressBacklinks.net of course):

kw-competition

The coupe de grace was entering the ExpressLinks.net site used in their example into BackLinkWatch.com immediately followed by entering the WorkAtHomeTruth.com site into BackLinkWatch.com (I cut off the WorkAtHomeTruth exampleas it would have taken a VERY long time to show all the backlinks). Enjoy:

If anyone has further insight about the ExpressBacklinks tool, let me know. Or if you have a better example than what ExpressBacklinks is currently showing on their sales page that would be helpful, too.

So far, I’m not seeing much impressive about the example they are showing to sell their tool for getting express backlinks.

Handy list sorting tool

I just found this handy list sorting tool that allows you to sort your list in many different useful ways.

This is NOT your basic list sorting tool. This is one that you will seriously want to bookmark and even study for a few minute.

And if there’s a sort feature that you don’t find, but think will be useful, you can send them a sample and if they think it’s useful, they’ll add it in.

Oh, and you can even mirror the words in a list (put them backwards) if for some odd reason you want to do that.

Here’s a brief sample of that seemingly useful trick;

John Reese
Willie Crawford
Patrick Petty
Michael Brown
Paul Schlegel

Well, actually the list is backwards AND upside down.

Anyhow, check out the actual useful features here:
