InternetJobNews – funniest disclaimer yet?

A lot of the fake news sites like InternetJobNews and fake blogs pull disclaimers from the sales pages of the products they are promoting. Apparently, InternetJobNews switched products they promote but never bothered to change their disclaimer. But that’s not what’s funny.

What’s funny is the disclaimer itself which states:

“We are not affiliated in any way with CNN, WebTV, News Channel 7, ABC, NBC, CBS, U.S. News or FOX.”

WebTV? Besides of course all of those “as seen on” claims you see on all of the Google Kit products being fake, how could the claim to have been seen on WebTV even be relevant?

Besides, WebTV was purchased and renamed by Microsoft anyhow: “MSN TV2, the latest version of MSN TV is an Internet & Media Player that requires no software to buy or install. It includes: an internet media player, a wireless remote, a wireless keyboard, a telephone line T-splitter, a phone cord, an audio/video cable and a power supply. The price of the device is Free.”

This reminds me of the hilarious 3HourProfits.com “As Seen On” claim discussed here.

New fake news sites say “catch me if you can!”

Let’s face it. Until anonymous corporation and secret banking loopholes are closed for good, the big “law enforcement show” from the likes of the FTC, AGs, and other law enforcement agencies is just that…a show to make it seem like scammers are on the run.

Well, so far that certainly doesn’t seem to be the case. In fact it seems more like the scammers are saying “catch me if you can!” For example, take some of the new fake news sites popping up.

Many of them make claims that are significantly more preposterous than the ones made by the sites in the original WorkAtHomeTruth post called Are Fake News Sites the Next Gold Rush?

For example, the sites CompanyTest.org and CompanyRecruit.com make the following bizarre and completely untrue statement in their fake news reports:

“Google has now officially released their new “work from home” system out to the public. There will be thousand of spots available that are expected to go very soon in the next few days.

The way this works is very simple, Google says.

First you will need to apply for their work from home kits. Google has release a limited amount of kits, all distributed through local websites in your area, which will cost $1.97 of shipping and handling to the public.

Google says this charge is made to cover shipping costs but also to separate the people that are serious about working with them through this program.

Once you have ordered your kit (if you are one of the lucky few to get availability in your area) then you will receive a package that will contain all the instructions you need to start working from home for the online titan.”

Don’t believe any of this for a moment. This is all just a new variation of the old Make Money Posting Links on Google Scam explained by Michael Brown here.

The other BIG WIN for the fake news sites is their addition of the Consumer Reports logo to the traditional misleading As Seen and Trusted On ABC, CBS, CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, USA Today, Forbes, and AOL statement.

It’s pretty tough to keep up with all the fake news sites as they continue to pop up like weeds. Just a very quick search popped up a whole new list of them that weren’t covered in the original post about fake news

I can just see them all saying, “catch me if you can!”

Special props go out to CompanyTest.org and CompanyRecruit.com for including the statement: “Google has release a limited amount of kits, all distributed through local websites in your area” a.k.a. “Google has released…” which is a much more creative way of taking advantage of the IP2Location scripts that make these news sites appear to be coming from your location, whether you live in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Philadelphia, or Phoenix.

DataMoneyOnline sales page review

IMPORTANT: One thing this post is showing that the site DataMoneyOnline site is using images of models from photos from iStockPhoto and putting DIFFERENT names to the images of those models. You should NOT assume that the models agreed to have their images used in the this way. In fact, the probably DID NOT.

That ALSO means that the names shown for the images of the models in THIS post are NOT the true names of the models in the images. I am simply pointing out what the DataMoneyOnline site has done.

"Felix Rodriguez" - a.k.a. iStock Photo 000006808979

"Felix Rodriguez" - a.k.a. iStock Photo 000006808979

“Felix Rodriguez” – a.k.a. iStockPhoto 000006808979 loves DataMoneyOnline so much that he wants to MARRY it!

After all according to DataMoneyOnline all you have to do is fill out “One form every five minutes = 12 forms per hour at $10 per form = $120″ and suddenly you are making $120/hour by the sheer fact that you can read and type and there is “no learning the ropes”!
Wow!
But why stop there? Why not pay people who can “read and type” (required according to DataMoneyOnline) even $12/hour and pocket the cool difference of $108/hour? Just imagine you could have 100 people working for you bringing in 100 x $108/hour = $10,800 per hour after paying labor.
After all, “You do want to get rich, right?” (to quote DataMoneyOnline).
I know what you’re thinking…why not have ONE THOUSAND people doing the work. OK. It’s at that point where I think it’s time for you to get a reality check. If you’ve ever tried to manage a thousand people I think you know what I mean.
Let’s see who else DataMoneyOnline has brought on board for compelling testimonial proof of their amazing system:
Testimonial roundup at DataMoneyOnline

Testimonial roundup at DataMoneyOnline

We have:
  • “Felix Rodriguez” – currently married to DataMoneyOnline.com (happily I presume)
  • “Linda Liu” who tells us that she was “ready not to believe”
  • “Dorothy Gale” who requested not to be quoted (I guess not even fictitious characters have rights these days, since DataMoneyOnline quoted her anyhow)
  • “Alexa Nichols” who asks the quite foreboding question, “Now who’s an idiot, huh?”
  • “Livvy Feldman” who threw away her entire career as a web designer after stumbling across the DataMoneyOnline.com website.
  • And…”Stu T. James” – his buddies call him “Stu”. Actually I don’t know what his buddies call him since his name probably isn’t “Stu T. James”, but if it was “Stu T. James” they’d probably call him “Stu”.

Was the “Gene Truman” photo stolen?

I couldn’t find the photo of founder “Gene Truman” on any stock photo sites, but the photo itself looks oddly familiar…I think it may be the photo of a member of a well-known marketing forum, but I haven’t been able to pinpoint it yet. However, as you’ll see later, if that IS the case the most likely explanation is that the photo was stolen.

What about video testimonials at DataMoneyOnline?

I know what you’re thinking. Surely those video testimonials at DataMoneyOnline must be real, right? Right?

Maybe. Maybe not.
I took a few minutes to check Elance to see if I could find any projects where people people had submitted projects looking for people to do video testimonials. In under 15 minutes, I found THREE.
Here’s an example of one:

Video Testimonial Project on Elance

Video Testimonial Project on Elance

Pay close attention to the Job Description – especially the following part:

“I will give you a script you will have to memorize and speak out on a simple web cam.”

NOTE: I have no proof that this is what DataMoneyOnline did, but apparently it is something that is done. Remember I found THREE such projects just quickly searching ONE freelance marketplace.

But fair is fair, right? After all DataMoneyOnline PROMISES not to charge you until you make money according to their Terms (sort of, anyhow):

“DataMoneyOnline.com is a unique program which guarantees that its members will make money within 24 hours of completion of the step-by-step free trial contained within the training program. Our system is designed to track the progress of our members as they complete each step of the training scheme – we will come to know when a User starts to make money using the system. It is only then that we will charge the card details provided by the User at the time of signing up for the free trial. We would like reinforce:

  1. The User gives us the authority to charge their card as soon as he/she starts to make money using our program.
  2. Submitting his/her cards details at the time of registration for the free trial acts as permission for the above clause.
  3. No further permission/intimation will be required before charging the card.
  4. We are permitted to charge the card only once.
  5. We will not attempt to charge the card any further once the membership fee has been gained.
  6. We will discard all personal data related to the card as soon as it has been charged, and will in no manner store it within our systems.

Since the User’s cards are charged only after money has started to be made, we cannot issue a refund once the card has been charged.

The above guarantee is applicable only if the User completes all the steps of the training within 24 hours of logging in to their account. All trials will be settled permanently if the User does not completes the training within 24 hours time frame, irrespective of making money or not.”

OK. I know that sounds scary, but really look how easy it is…DataMoneyOnline even includes a 5 minute video RIGHT on their sales page that shows you how to make $1,000s! Here’s a screenshot of it:

Just watch this easy 5 minute "Terms of Use Violation" static screenshot!

Just watch this easy 5 minute "Terms of Use Violation" static screenshot!

Hmm. OK. Maybe that wasn’t the best example. But anyhow, apparently it’s really easy to make thousands of dollars really, really fast.

Not to worry, you can easily resolve any dispute you might have via a quick trip to Kolkata, West Bengal, India according to their privacy policy (umm, why is that section in their privacy policy)? Here you go:

This is a no-brainer. I would merely need to spend $1270.00 to pursue my $197.00 refund. Easy-peasy!

This could be ME pursuing my $197.00 refund!

This all seemed so familiar…

I had a nagging feeling throughout analyzing DataMoneyOnline that a lot of it seemed very familiar. But I checked through the WorkAtHomeTruth site and couldn’t find any research I had done on DataMoneyOnline.

However, after a bit more digging I figured out what was going on.

There is another site I reviewed a while back called MakeMoneyStudio (reviewed here) which was loaded with stock photo testimonials.

Taking a look at nameservers, it turns out that both DataMoneyOnline.com and MakeMoneyStudio.com are sharing the following nameservers:

  • ns1.datamoneyonline.com
  • ns2.datamoneyonline.com
DataMoneyOnline.com name servers

DataMoneyOnline.com name servers

MakeMoneyStudio.com name servers

Is this the work of ongoing marketing menace Vipul Gupta?

About a year ago I recall running across some questionable “Data Entry” sites run by someone allegedly named Vipul Gupta who seemed to be operating out of West Bengal, India.

Sure enough, DataEntryCompany.com not only shares the same name servers as DataMoneyOnline.com and MakeMoneyStudio.com:

DNS info for DataEntryCompany.com

DNS info for DataEntryCompany.com

DNS Info for DataEntryCorp.com

DNS Info for DataEntryCorp.com

AND registrant information for DataEntryCompany.com is:

Registrant:
Eknowledge Marketing
Vipul Gupta        (vipulkrgupta@gmail.com)

Which looks suspiciously similar to the registrant information for MakeMoneyStudio.com:

Bottom line: Avoid DataMoneyOnline.com
