IveTriedThat, ABC News, and Rebate Processing…

A couple weeks ago I got a call from ABC News as they are preparing a news story about various work at home scams. They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who’s been a victim of Rebate Processing Scams, which I mentioned was a pretty big problem right now.

I told them that I felt the site IveTriedThat.com – which is one of MY favorite work at home sites – would be the best place to help them out on that.

They need YOUR help, too.

From Steve at IveTriedThat:

“If you were a victim of a rebate processing scam, ABC News and I’ve Tried That wants to hear your story. You can find more information in this post: http://www.ivetriedthat.com/2008/08/15/we-want-to-hear-your-i-was-scammed-story/

Please take a few minutes and share your story so we can work together to prevent anyone else from being scammed again.”

More Penbrook Production complaints…

Q: My name is [removed for privacy reason]. I requested a refund from penbrook productions on 4/29/08. I received an e-mail stating that my refund was processed on 5/24/08. To this date I have not received my refund.  I have been trying to call the 800 number provided to no avail. I am turning this situation over to my attorneys.  Please call me at [removed]

A: To anyone trying to get this all straightened out or get a refund from this company, the very best information I’ve found is at IveTriedThat.com which as I’ve mentioned before is an incredibly trustworthy site and they aren’t afraid to put up a good fight against troublemakers in the marketplace.

I’ve done all I can here with warnings, word search puzzles – I even wrote a love song to Angela Penbrook as another way to try to make the point. Frankly, I’m out of ideas here.

Telecommuting mania – leave your brain at home

One of the things that baffles us is how many questions we get about products that clearly are likely to be of little help to people in their questions for telecommuting products versus the number of people who try to do even the quickest analysis in search of the truth.

People will consider paying as much as $197.00 for a product that know nothing about before that delivers mountains of "work from home hope" before they will tap into their own brain and use free or reasonably priced resources to achieve their goals of working from home.

The term "telecommuting mania" seems to be a decent term for this phenomenon, since the definition of mania is:"…a severe medical condition characterized by extremely elevated mood, energy, and unusual thought patterns."

Let’s take a look at one of the questions that came in recently and see if it qualifies as an example of telecommuting mania.

Q:

Processing from home rebates.Looks good but…………here is the link:

makemyincomeathome.com

A:

OK. Let’s see if makemyincomeathome qualifies as telecommuting mania:

The promise: "If You Have 60 Minutes A Day, Here’s A Certified, Proven And Guaranteed Way To Make $225 And More Every Day… The Easy Way… From Home!”

OK, we can pretty much stop right there.Apparently the person who asked about this believes he can make $225.00 in 60 minutes processing rebates at home.In facts he believes this about rebate processing jobs despite the fact that companies can easily pay people minimum wage or less than minimum wage (overseas) to do the very same work.

Seems like this definitely qualifies as an "unusual thought pattern" as described in the aforementioned definition of mania.

Hey, and wait a minute….Apparently Angela Penbrook is the #1 work at home consultant in America…but didn’t we discover earlier that Angel Stevens from ProcessAtHome was the #1 Work at Home Consultant in America?

Man, is Angel going to be ticked off when she hears Angela’s outrageous claims at ProcessAtHome.com! ;-)

Seriously though if you have some money to get rid of, I’m sure there’s a ton of people who would be happy to take it off your hands.Or you could invest in something that could actually help you find a telecommuting job like InYourPJs or Little White eBook of HomeShoring Jobs

Naah. You want to make $225.00/hour for doing "simple work at home".

For the rest of use who want to use your brain…
