IMPORTANT: One thing this My Home Wealth System review and analysis of its sales page is showing is that MyHomeWealthSystem.com is using images of models from photos from iStockPhoto and putting DIFFERENT names to the images of those models. You should NOT assume that the models agreed to have their images used in the this way. In fact, the probably DID NOT.

That ALSO means that the names shown for the images of the models in THIS post are NOT the true names of the models in the images. I am simply pointing out what the MyHomeWealthSystem.com site has done.

It’s also important to note that some time AFTER I did this post, My Home Wealth System added the following disclaimer to their sales page:

“For purpose of privacy, testimonial pictures have been adapted and are not their actual photos. Results may vary, testimonials are not typical results. All testimonials have been remunerated.”

With that in mind, here is a list of Red-Flags on the My Home Wealth System sales page:

My Home Wealth System Red-Flag #1)

Use of a “privacy disclaimer” for testimonial photos.

While use of Stock Photos for testimonials should be considered a red flag, the use of a disclaimer stating that stock photos are being used for “purposes of privacy” should also be considered a red-flag…in fact usually a BIGGER red-flag.

My Home Wealth System Red-Flag #2)

Use of paid testimonials.

The disclaimer on the MyHomeWealthSystem.com sales page states:

“For purpose of privacy, testimonial pictures have been adapted and are not their actual photos.”

The question you have to ask yourself is WHY does a product need to PAY people to say good things about it?

My Home Wealth System Red Flag #3)

Potential violation of the Federal Trade Commissions “No Safe Harbor” rule.

The disclaimer for MyHomeWealthSystem.com states, “Results may vary, testimonials are not typical results.”

As stated Remarks of David C. Vladeck1 Director, FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection in his address to the Electronic Retailing Association:

“Without getting into too much detail, there are a few important principles for advertisers to keep in mind. First, remember that a testimonial on a key attribute of your product will likely be interpreted as representing that the endorser’s experience is typical of what other consumers will be able to achieve. Second, the use of a disclaimer such as “results not typical” is no longer a safe harbor for the claims made in testimonials. Third, while you may use atypical or best-case testimonials, if you do, you should clearly and conspicuously disclose the generally expected results consumers can expect in the depicted circumstances. Of course, the best practice, and the less risky practice, is to use testimonials that actually reflect what your product or services is likely to deliver. In other words, rather than run ads that give with one hand but take away with the other, it would be better for your ads to give a clear picture of the results a consumer will actually get.”

My Home Wealth System Red Flag #4)

The use of paid video testimonials.  If you are wondering if MyHomeWealthSystem paid for the testimonials, remember MyHomeWealthSystem states in their diclaimer that  ALL testimonials have been remunerated …i.e. “paid for”.

I’m not sure how much they paid for the video testimonials, but I’ve seen MANY people providing video testimonials for as  little as $5!

One question that comes to mind is, if  MyHomeWealthSystem is so concerned about protecting peoples’ privacy by using “Stock Photos”, then why are they even using paid video testimonials?

My Home Wealth System Red Flag #5)

The use of stock photos and a video actor for “Scott Davenport”. Keep in mind that the disclaimer at the bottom of MyHomeWealthSystem states, “For purpose of privacy, testimonial pictures have been adapted and are not their actual photos.”

However, it does NOT state that the photo of Scott Davenport and the video of Scott Davenport is actually a video actor.

And in fact the picture that was originally used was the same picture used as “Lanty Paul” on a site called AutoCashSystem site.

Update: Now MyHomeWealthSystem.com is using a video actor from LiveFaceOnWeb to “play” the part of Scott Davenport. In fact the first thing you hear out of the video actors’ mouth is:

“Hi, I’m Scott Davenport. Welcome to MyHomeWealthSystem.com. Would you like to work from home and earn a full time income?

If I told you that I have built a system where you can earn $200 to $1,000 plus every day working as little as 30 minutes, would you be interested.”

I must have missed the part where he says, “oh, by the way I’m a paid actor from Live Face On Web” (although you CAN click out to LiveFaceOnWeb if you want to hire your own actors).

Kevin Hoeffer and friends invade MyHomeWealthSystem!

3 of the “Testimonial photos” at MyHomeWealthSystem really stand out because they are the same stock photos used on several Kevin Hoeffer and “Make Money Posting Links On Google” sites.

1. The “John Shepard” photo was used in a full page magazine display ad to promote KevinBlogSite.org
2. The Lee and Rachel Walker photo has been seen on many “Kevin Hoeffer/Make Money Posting Links On Google” type sites
3. And “Bill Joseph” is somewhat of a fake celebrity on the Fake News Sites

Red Ferrari photo file meta-information

I’m not ready to jump to any conclusions on this yet, but I do find it interesting that the photo of the Red Ferrari was apparently edited using the Adobe ImageReady bitmap graphics editor according to analysis of it’s internal meta-information at ServerSniff:

MyHomeWealthSystem CLAIMS that leading magazines have voted it the number 1 work from home opportunity

Yes, you are reading that right. MyHomeWealthSystem claims that Fortune, BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur, Forbes, and Home Business Magazine have voted it the “number 1 work from home opportunity”.

LOL!!!

Are tons of people refunding MyHomeWealthSystem?

According to MyHomeWealthSystem’s own “Positions Left” counter MyHomeWealthSystem must get refunded at an alarming rate.

I mean…unless it’s a fake counter or something crazy like that….nah…it has to be real…right?
