T – Fake news sites starting with the letter T

Fake news sites are not only nefarious and deceptive, but they can be incredibly profitable for the people who run them – AT YOUR EXPENSE. So be very, very careful if you run across sites that look like newspaper sites or news sites. Many of them look like the real thing, but are not.

Of course one way you can tell is that they often promote stories of people who claim that they are making good money by “posting links” on Google. If you want to know the truth about that, read this article by Michael Brown about the Make Money Posting Links on Google scam.

You should also note that these fake news sites will make it look like the story in their fake news article are about someone who lives near you. They don’t. They never did. They never will. The people in the stories are not even real.

So whether you live in San Antonia, TX – San Diego, CA – Dallas, TX – San Jose, CA – Detroit, MI – Indianapolis, Indiana – Jacksonville, FL – San Francisco, CA or Columbus, OH – don’t believe for a second that the fake people in the fake stories in the fake news sites live anywhere near you.

Fake news sites have been promoting scammy Google business kits for the past year or so. Many people don’t realize that the kits have nothing to do with Google and aren’t in anyway endorsed by Google. And some people don’t even realize that sites like Sandiego-Tribune-News.com are actually completely fake.

What’s bizarre is that people actually believe that they can make money posting links on Google without doing any real work. If you believe that, I highly recommend you read Michael Brown’s article about the Make Money Posting Links on Google scam. Many of the following sites promote that kind of scam:

You should also be aware that many of these sites use scripts to figure out where you are viewing their website from. Then they change the stories in the fake news sites to make it look like the story is happening to someone from your location. Well they aren’t. And besides the people in the stories are comletely made up anyhow.

So, even if you’re from New York, NY – Los Angeles, CA – Chicago, IL – Houston, TX – or Philadelphia, PA these fake news sites will make it look like the story is about someone from your location. However, once again – the people in the stories are NOT REAL.

Why people keep falling for fake stories in fake news sites is beyond me. Admittedly many of the fake news sites are very convincing, but why would anyone believe that they can make easy money posting links or sometimes just “a link” on Google without even knowing what that means?

If you’ve ever wondered about the fake news sites, you might be surprised to see how many are listed in the list below – and those are only the ones starting with the letter R.

Finally – as I’ve pointed out previously most of these sites are using scripts to detect your location to make it seem like the story is about someone living where you live. Well, I can tell you that’s not the case as the people in the stories are completely made up. So don’t think that just because a story says the person lives in Mesa, Arizona – Virginia Beach, Virginia – Omaha, Nebr – Oakland, Nebraska – Oakland, California – or Miami, Florida…that they actually DO live there. They don’t.
