Home Income Profit Kit review and analysis of sales page

8/11/2011 Update: This was originally posted in 2010. There are currently NEW versions of Home Income Profit KIt that could potentially put your financial information at risk.

I’ve explained why in the video below. And I’ve followed the video with a short text explanation.

In the above video I explain why your financial information is potentially at risk if you use the order form on the MyOnlineCashBusiness.com version of Home Income Profit Kit. Here’s why:

  • The security seals are non-clickable (which makes them worthless).
  • The order page is NOT secure even though it claims it is. A secure order page always starts with https://. The order page at the MyOnlineCashBusiness.com version of Home Income Profit Kit starts with http://. When you enter your financial information on an unsecure order page, you are potentially putting that financial information at risk.

The following information is from the 2010 versions of Home Income Profit Kit.

There are many different versions of Home Income Profit Kit. The Home Income Profit Kit sales page reviewed here is on the website HomeIncomeProfitKit.com.

I HIGHLY recommend you AVOID HomeIncomeProfitKit and that you watch the following video to understand what the red-flags are with this Home Income Profit Kit sales page:

I’ve also explained the Home Income Profit Kit red flags below the video so you can identify them fast.

Home Income Profit Kit Red Flag #1)

You should be aware that Home Income Profit Kit is making use of a template that MANY very questionable business opportunity sites have used over the past year or so.

Home Income Profit Kit Red Flag #2)

Home Income Profit Kit proudly claims to have “advertised” in the following places:

  • CNN
  • USAToday
  • MSNBC
  • abc
  • CBS News

First of all, the claim that they “Advertised on” CBS News is HIGHLY questionable. And in fact the entire statement “As Advertised On” means nothing at all because anybody at all can advertise on most of those media outlets.

Home Income Profit Kit Red Flag #3)

The HomeIncomeProfitKit.com version of Home Income Profit Kit uses non-clickable security seals and non-clickable trust seals which makes those trust and security seals COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS

The trust and security seals Home Income Profit Kit Wealth is invalidly displaying are:

  • Verisign
  • McAfee Secure

Any security expert will warn you that a NON-CLICKABLE trust seal can’t be trusted!

Home Income Profit Kit Red Flag #4)

Home Income Profit Kit uses a HUGE RED ARROW that points to the order section and BLOCKS the information below it which is the information about what you’ll be charged.

I highly recommend you AVOID Home Income Profit Kit based on the above red-flags.

  1. I also fell for this scam – they sent me a receipt for $2.99 postage but charged my ATM/Visa card for $139.99. CROOKS!
Cannot even find an address to return the CD to!

    • sue says:

yes its a scam did the same to me..said its in terms and conditions..and give 10 days then charge you..its time these scammers got what they deserve..bad publicity anywhere we can

      • aurie says:

Address for the company listed below, I filed a complaint against them with the FL attorney generals office. I didn’t fall for the scam but now they won’t stop calling me and harassing me, I said on initial call no thanks not interested and hung up since then the caller has called my phone 8 times in 2 and half hours and just hangs up doesn’t say a word!!!!… is this how they get people to do business ??

  2. brandonm says:

i to was taken by this site however was able to chatch it right away and disputed charges with bank and also caled the number found here and was in formed that if i maild it back ton them they would refund all charges as lon as i included a number they gave me over the phone hope they hold good ether way im getting my money back as bank has already froze payment to them i found it within one hour of it posting

  3. Billy says:

Luckily i decided against this when i saw they needed my credit card but i had already put my cell phone number on the app and they called me multiple times (about 20 times)the next day i dont answer if i dont recognize a number and they never left a message but finally i answered and told them i was not interested and not to call me anymore but they have called about 30 times since (in 2 days)then ive tried to answer but no ones there and when i try to call the number back it says its disconnected or out of service seems i could file harrasment charges im checking into it

    • Billy, hopefully you’ll be able to do something to stop the calls. However, many of these “companies” (if you can even call them that) do an extensive amount of phone number spoofing making it extremely difficult to track down where they are. The same person will show a completely different number ever time he/she calls you.

      • aurie says:

I called the customer service line because of the phone calls and they told me it was a third party company they said they didn’t know the name of and could not give me a way to contact the company except via email… what a crock thank gawd i didn’t give them my credit card info.

        • franky says:

I was about to fall into the trap too and thought to do some research first before I invest my money and sadly I filled my details in but didn’t give them my credit card info, I’m just wondering if they’re going to send me posts or e-mails? Hope not!

          • Unfortunately, I think it’s quite possible that you’ll end up getting emails from filling in your info – but at least you didn’t provide you’re credit card info.

          • Jennifer says:

I also posted my info and then did some research in to this company before I gave my credit card info and am glad that i did , but they did send me a message to my e-mail acct and when i read over it at the bottom there is a link you can click on to be listed to no call list as well as edit the info that you gave them and thats what i did and I have not recieved any more e-mails nor have I recieved any calls so I think its working. Also I did read the very light print that is posted under the red arrow and it does say after 5 days they will charge your acct for 139.99 and then after that 30 days they will continue to charge your acct for 9.99 a month till you cancle the program, but everything is like that you have to read the fine print or you get screwed, Im just glad this time it wasnt me, thanks to this site.

  4. Alan says:

Do not get involved with these liars. I was told that my “free trial” would begin when I received their info in the mail but they charged me early. So far I’ve dealt with 3 different “3rd parties” while trying to recover my money. Just another unscrupulous scam perpetrated by people with no integrity

  5. David says:

I unfortunately fell for this. They hacked my fathers email account and happened to get the way my father uses my name correct so I had blinders on all through the site. I attempted to get a refund, but was reminded by the really nice guy *insert sarcasm here* on the phone that I had accepted the terms and conditions twice that “clearly” stated the charges. I have also received numerous calls from the same number who always hangs up on my voice mail. Interestingly enough they left the phone on once and I could hear them talking and eating chips. I have chosen to fight this with my bank. I hope that works out. :) Thanks for posting the information regarding the obvious red flags. I will not be falling for this again. :)

  6. Sara says:

    SUCH A DARN SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t believe I fell for it! UUGGHHH! Disputing charges with my bank now… such a lot of work for NOTHING!!!!
To be honest, the “advertised on Yahoo, CNBC… etc” is what convinced me. I should have KNOWN better!

    • Carol says:

Sara i also fell for the scam for the same reason as you, i saw the CBS and CNN crap. I ordered on 1/15 and called on 1/25 to cancel after having the CD for 3 days thinking i was playing it safe by calling so fast. They told me that the charge for 139.99 had been put through as of 1 am of that day.. I was angry and told them that i had it for three days and because they took 1 week to send it to me that shouldn’t count as my 10 day trial. Then also told them that even though i ordered ten days before the payment on my card cleared on the 18th, which meant purchase date was 7 days ago. They said that they will give me a credit of 56.00, which of course is how they make their money by keeping the 83.99. I called my bank and try to put a stop payment which in the long run did nothing for me, i lost 83.99 and have a CD to show for it .

      • Carol says:

I feel that all these channels such as CBS,CNN,ABC should put a stop to all these Home Business programs from using their logo, which i think will prevent from many others falling for the scam.

      • Bubbles says:

So, curious if anyone actually tried making money from the information on the CD that they send you?

        • Bubbles,

If you DO put that CD into your computer, make sure all your antivirus programs and antimalware programs are up to date. I’m not saying that there’s a problem with the Home Income Profit Kit CD, but there have been OTHER companies in the past that have actually used CDs to distribute malware.

        • Jen says:

          Attn: Bubbles.

Stay far away from this so called company, they are a SCAM. I unfortuntaley fell for this & was scammed out of $139.99 which is now in dispute w/my credit card company. Home profit crap offered me a 1 time credit of $56, which in turn they would keep $83.99. Well of course credit never came through, so the full $139.99 is in dispute. They are fricking crooks trickeling money out of peoples hard earned money.

  7. tara says:

Don’t fall for the ad on CNBC ect. It’s all a scam!!

  8. Tammy says:

thank you all so much, I found the ad yesterday – and my gut was telling me to research further. I googled “Home income profits” and again, I just have to say thank you to all of you for posting! so glad i didn’t fall for it. ( the part where they ask for your cc info is what stopped me. the old addage is true – if it sounds to good to be true. . . .

  9. panda says:

emm..i want to know the red font that u showed in this website. is it true ?

  10. Wizzer says:

I was charged the 2.99, 17.95 and then 139.99 a week later. Tried to cancel and was told that I would receive 56.00. Truly are scammers. I didn’t even get the cd.

  11. Kristin says:

I am truely blessed. I ran across this article about a stay at home mom who supplemented her
income by using this “Home Income Profit System” sound to good to be true so I saved the article on my computer with intentions to look into it. That was back on April 20, 2010. It sound to good to be true but it seemed so legit after all Yahoo, MSN and USA today backing them up? (so I thought) So here it is 06/20/2011 and cleaning up my computer I run across the document and googled the name of this so called company and thats how I ended up here. What a bunch of crock!! I am so happy these blogs are here to help us average honest people who do not know about such behavior of these idiots trying to profit off us and screw us in the end. Educate yourself about these scams because they are at an all time high and more in the making I am sure. I believe nothing I hear and only half of what I see……… Seems to me not as many honest people anymore that one can seal a deal with a handshake like back in the day but people if you says it …. then be responsible for it….. If you want to sell it…….. then have it………. if you want to buy it …… then pay with your own damn money not somebody elses!!!

  12. Gina Lisi says:

I recently received an email from these guys, and I have fallen for scams like this b-4. I am glad I came across this site to warn me about it all. Thank you so much! You just saved me some cash!

  13. phat says:

I recently got laid off and trying to find ways to get income and found this article online. Sounded very legit, I tried it, and it say pay a small fee of 2.99, then later I found out, I have to pay 17.95 and more hidden fees if I want to make money. So I called in 1 877 867 3750 after 2 days, thought that I would get my refund, but I couldn’t. I told them to cancel my membership. What a scam!!!

  14. brad says:

I know for fact i never filled out an online form and i have been getting several calls from business like this saying i want to work at home and i filled out an online form.
Last week around the same time tele marketers were calling me to work at home, one being usa supreme technology and i forgot the other based out of new york, 10 emails were sent from my personal msn account to my contacts pertaining the following
“I scored $173 in a couple hours on the web. worked towards it at – http://x.co/Xp7u – youre going to be so happy! ”
“I really just learned how to make $151 in a couple days on the web. scored it easily from – http://x.co/Xp7x – you are going to enjoy life so much more! ”

each message to my contacts had a different phrase like these. My brother called me and asked why i sent him this, I NEVER DID. The link goes to the home profit kit if you click on it. So i just sent homeprofit kit an email at there support center asking if they used my email account and sent emails to several of my contacts. Obviously there not going to admit to it if they did and i cant accuse them without really knowing, but as far as im concerned theres a scam going on with these work at home kits!
I will say i have a ps3 and its possible when ps3 network was hacked the hackers could of sold my password to someone. Which is an assumption. But to me whos so into working at home that they would send promotion emails from peoples accounts if the profit kit didnt? Or someone said msn might back them, does that mean msn can send emails from my account to my friends saying i made money? doesnt seem right to me! Has anyone else had this problem?

    • Brad,

This has been happening a lot recently. There has been some major hacking of email addresses going on and there’s no doubt in my mind that your account was hacked. I would strongly urge you to change your password immediately.

    • Jennifer says:

This is crazy because how I learned about this company was from an e-mail sent to me by my friend wich looked funny to begin with because she never forwards me anything like this but i opend it anyways and the title on it was ” Hey take a look at this , this is nuts” when it took me to the site it was a paper written about a lady who was making 10,000 a month working from home and it said it was thru this company and had a link to the companys web site the funny thing is it looked so legit with the article and all but thank god I did some research on it and found this site or I most likely would have been a victum too. Thank god for small favors

  15. Lou V says:

Wow just reading the last post I think that’s what occurred with a friend of mine and my email. Out of the blue I get this email and I did my due diligence, coming across this blog site. Afterwards, immediately posted her the link and suggested she read this before she does anything invovling this scam. Unbelievable

  16. high says:

hey guys. i also fell victim to this ridiculous scam. i was wondering if anyone had had any luck trying to recover their money? Thanks in advance

  17. edy i says:

i was just about to fill out the form but i figured and started to do to everything i buy on line, it is best to read the reviews on everything you buy. Usually you can get an idea of the product and how good it is just by what other people who bought it say about it. And if there is 1 or 2 good reviews out of 20 its usually the owner of the company you are buying it from posting an ad on his own product. ALWAYS READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOUR PURCHASE OR SIGN UP TO ANYTHING ONLINE!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK ALL.

  18. Winx99 says:

Same happened to me .. but thank God I didn’t fell for it… a very trusted friend of mine who never EVER send this type of email out of the blue send me this “Yo.. hola you can have it all!!”
and then the website was given..
since i trusted this friend of mine and i knew that she would never do something like this so i went to the website and read the article and signed up for it.. but when it asks for the cc information that’s when my mind stopped and I thought that before doing this I should definitely ask my parents .. and Thank the Lord I do not have my own cc to begin with or I would have fallen for this trap too and loose all my money… I was about to use my dad cc information!!! thank God at the last mininut I researched about this and read this article and all of you guys reviews it saved me from getting robbed of my money :)
I am going to post this website on facebook and will tell my friend to change the password since she never send me THIS types of emails
Thankyou all and thankyou so much for this article!!!

  19. alexis says:

This is a total scam! I tried to get my money back and was unable. All they would give me was $56. I went to my bank and they could not to anything. I am upset!!!! This is not fair! I had to get my credit card cancelled because they keep taking money from me!! I turned them into the better business burea and are waiting to hear what they say! I think everyone should too! We need to get this buiness taken down so they can not do this anymore!!!!

  20. michele says:

i was charge 2.99 at first and then they charge me 139.99 without my approved. i just call to cancel for my refunds and they only give my 56.00, this is totally a scam. Please dont fall for this website. thanks you

  21. michele says:

these people just getting free money from you

  22. Sham says:

I called after I was billed the 139.99 too and I made such a fuss and threatened to get my bank and the better business bureau involved that they issued me a refund for the full amount. I only tried it becaused a friend gave me the information and they advertised a limited time special for $0.99. I didn’t see anything about $139.99 and I let them have it. They gave me my money back even after the trial period and each of you should get yours.

  23. Terry says:

I was taken by this scammer, but through a different name of the Home Business Success. Through their hired telemarketing client they offered gift cards on the deal to try 2 trial offers to get the gift cards with 10-14 days to cancel. The gift cards were actually vouchers to get you to accept the trial offers. Their hired client had no idea of who they were. For their stupidity I am going to implicate the hired telemarketer in this mess. They should screen their clients more thoroughly. Watch out for the Magazine Savings Club as they were the ones offering the gift cards. To get the $100.00 Target gift card would take 10 trips to Target with receipts to fully redeem the voucher. Bullshit! For this unauthorized charge I am letting other people know about this scam. To spread the word about the Home Business Success,Home Business Profit kit,or whatever name they want to hide behind. They can run and hide, but just like Osama Bin Laden justice will find you! Plenty of room in Hell.

  24. Amber says:

SO GLAD I ran into this site! Thank you thank you thank you! I was recently scammed from another online company, and am glad to see the info on what to look for in a site (e.g. clickable security tags). SO helpful! As for this deal, I did some research before giving them my credit card info, but like many others, had already given my email/phone number, so I hope I don’t get a billion calls a day (but better than my credit card info, I guess). I just unexpectedly lost my job and am scrambling for money, so when I saw this kit it did look pretty enticing. But when I saw that they wanted my credit card number I started digging….called the company (877-867-3750) and the first thing I asked was “what is the name of your company” because it didn’t tell me on the recorded thing when they picked up…..I got a wishy-washy response of “Home Business Success” and was told that they are the billing company responsible for dealing with the Home Riches Kit….they did give me an email address to get more information about the kit….. czarmedia1@gmail.com so if anyone needs to contact someone at the company this might be a good place to start, although who knows if it’s a real email address or not. I asked him what is included with the Kit, and he said “well I’m not really sure, but basically it gives you information on how to start a home business”….this was my HUGE red flag…. I was not trying to buy information….. I was trying to buy access to an online system that helps make money. SCAM!!! I can’t believe there are so many of these awful companies…they should all be sent to JAIL!!! How can they be operating??? I don’t get it, but someone needs to do something to tighten the online business requirements!! I went through the same thing with an online pharmacy who turned out to be a total scam and now calls me 8 times a day even when I YELL at them to take me off of their call list. I am never buying anything online again! Such a shame for all the legit business out there….these bad guys mess it up for all of us!

  25. Audrey says:

So glad I seen this what got me is that they won’t take a prepaid credit card. After that i knew it was a scam. There’s alot of scams going on all the time. like my Husband told me If it sounds to good to be true ,then it probably is!

  26. Brynn says:

I would just like to Thank Paul for founding this site. I have been a stay at home mom for many years now and have done a few work from home jobs that were legit but I didn’t seem to make enough money. So when I saw the ad on Facebook and a few other sites about this Home Profit Kit I figured I would see what it was all about. Before filling out my information I decided to Google the company. I stumbled upon this site and I am so thankful that I did. I probably would have tried this kit since $2.99 seems to be a great price, but knowing now that they charge your card other fees I am so glad that I didn’t. Paul and all of the other people who have posted on here have helped a great deal by sharing their stories. I hope that this site can save people from these awful scams, as it saved me.

  27. Daun says:

I agree with brynn. this company is a scam and i don’t understand why are these companies or sites are letting these scammers place these ads. I was on facebook today when i saw this ad i can admit that i got curious, yes it did say about the $2.99 i filled out the form then when they asked for cc info i remembered reading about other scams out there, then i did a little research an googled them a different site like this and read the same reviews but it was only two reviews were posted so i searched a little more then found this site. Everything in the other posts are exactly the same. Also i tried to leave a comment warning others about that company, of course they had to approve my comment in order to post it. I checked back at that site to see if my comment was posted and of course it wasn’t. Please believe i do understand and commend you Paul Schlegel for warning others, cause way too many people are losing their money, time, and efforts just trying to take care of their families for whatever their situation or reasons by these good for nothing lasy immoral scavangers. From the other site i posted the scam report for this business to my facebook page to warn others not to trust this company. However Paul we the people all the people who have been scammed by these dream selling ads or companies need to come together get petitions to have these companies put out of business completely. Someone has to stop this from continuing. Now its not just hurting individuals its hurting our nation and we already have enough to worry about dealing with the governmental changes and issues the low class people are going through. There should be something the government can do like the canadians have done for those scammers in canada. I can promise one thing im going to do more research to find out how to stop this madness. Once again thanks for your concern and help looking out for the unsuspecting. Please get back with me with any suggestions.

    • One thing I did back in 2009 was talk to the FTC about going after the CPA networks that distribute the programs (I had been helping them on a case against one of the top 100 spammers in the world at the time). At the time, they didn’t seem to think it was possible, but it seems that recently they have been moving towards doing exactly that.

I do have instructions on how to file with law enforcement agencies here:
How To File Consumer Complaints and I’m working on the petition aspect you’ve mentioned as well, because realistically Law Enforcement doesn’t have the resources to tackle every problem – and I think that’s where the idea of Petitioning that you’ve mentioned can come into play.

  28. jessica says:

thanks for this i was JUST abt to get scammed w the same site, im so glad i googled it first lol. now in the red font there is a link for another work from home thingy…. is that a legit website i can trust, or is it an example of another scam going on?

  29. Mica says:

Arghhhhh!! I have literally just bought this scheme only it was called Home Income Programme. Fell for it hook line and sinker :( (( I paid a half-price of $24.97 – nowhere did it mention that I would have to pay extra. Also there was no CD only a website http://members.homeincomepackage.com/members/getting-started/step4.php which basically explains the system (setting up own website, getting free customers and then from what I can understand how to scam other people!!). It very clearly said before that all I would need is basic typing skills and no further investment, but this is a lie. I have been well and truly scammed! How can I now make my credit card details secure?? (FYI I paid through Verified by Visa …. is it safe enough??) Next time I will definitely do some background research before clicking on these things, but it looked like just the answer to my prayers…
